Zainab A interesting! Which middle eastern county do you live in? I'm only asking because I'm very interested in the middle east and I've been learning Arabic for 3 years. I'm from New York
"Broken At Love" by USC Grad/Actress Karolina Sivas I usually bake a whole bag for about 20-30 mins on a large cookie sheet with parchment paper, in an even layer. But, it does depend on the size pan you use, and how crispy you like them. 😘
1. I adore your posters behind you in the intro/outro! And 2. I love how you think of everyone when you make your recipes, like having alternatives ready for different people!
OMG I fell more in love with you after you showed the part where you cooked with oil. I know it's not your preference so it's a bit of a sacrifice to do that just for us. (and Im sure you want those other people out there to stop bitching about you not using oil) I totally give you mad respect, Caitlin. You are the best!!!
The recipe for the cookies was perfect. I added a spoon of honey and after they were done baking I sprinkled brown sugar. It was delicious. Thank you for the recipe.
i prefer to blanch my potatoes until they're almost soft. Then bake them on high for 20 mins with a drop of olive oil and loaded with seasonings(no salt). Always nice and crispy. loved this video!
Honey I'm pulling out the blender for that nice cream that looks hella good. I'm not even specifically on a vegan diet, though I've considered it, but that looks like a really good lactose intolerant alternative tbh
So glad for breakfast and lunch videos! I feel like there are a ton of dinner options for us vegans, but I struggle with having a variety of breakfast options. And I really really struggle with work lunches. I don’t have time to cook lunch in addition to dinner. If you have vegan lunch ideas, I’d love to hear them! I miss being able to just assemble a sandwich at work and be done.
This is the video I was looking for being new to veganism and wanting to see TRULY easy and simplex ideas to get started. Thanks! from 2 years in the future ✌🏼
Girl! Your intro is killin' it & your photography in the thumbnails are the some of the best of all vegan youtubers! Keep up the awesome work friend :) :)
for the banana nice cream, i recommend putting some chia seeds in and a scoop of protein powder (if you have it!). i have it every morning and i top it up with some nut muesli to get in extra fiber and carbs, it's a super good and filling breakfast! thank you caitlin for an awesome video, as usual! x
I love your "PB banana sushi" idea! I make something like that but I add jam and cut the banana into thin slices so it's more of a PB+J plus banana tortilla.
I made these hash browns this morning and ooooooh boy they were tasty. I added some left over vegan cheez sauce and a little dollop of vegan sour cream on top. It was so good!
Thanks a lot. I will be trying the Nice cream. It looks so creamy. I use Olive oil from a jar of olives to make my potatoes and it works better using less.
I tried the banana roll or sushi whatever it's called. I tried it and it's amazing. I added a drizzle of honey and a small amount of cinnamon. I didn't have tortillas so I did it with brown bread that is sugar free and whole grains. I took of the crust. I did pretty much the same thing except I substituted a few things and added some things too.
Hi! My sister and i are car camping the US national parks for a month this May. We are both plant-based and I was wondering if you could make a video on easy camping recipes that have only a few ingredients! Thanks!
Tbh just look up regular camping recipes and use substitutions. Stuff in a dutch oven is one of the easiest because you usually just end up dumping everything into the same pot. Can also grill alot of things
@@zawiyaabdi9975 car camping means that you drive up to a camp site... We were sleeping in a tent... I was clarifying that I wasn't backpacking to a camp site or staying in an RV... But ok.
If you have a griddle or george Forman grill, the hash browns are super simple - no flipping required. Cook them for about 20 - 25 minutes and they are crispy without using any oil.
I wanted to comment on the first recipe. I have been frequently eating this for more than a year, just in a dough form instead of cookies. Just in case, I think it is amazing!! Just add a little bit of water or plant milk and you can get something like an oatmeal (and there is no baking time, therefore, the whole preparation process is quicker), and, personally, I just love it. Since I do not like the taste of baked bananas, maybe there is someone else who would appreciate this meal idea too. :)
I love overnight oat pots, with all kinds of goodies added in the morning. That way a basic recipe gets changed up depending on my tastebuds when I come to eat it. :) Looking forward to trying the no oil hash browns. Thanks 👍🏼🙏🏼
You got some great recipes and all your dishes look amazing.. Keep those recipes coming your actually making it easier for me to transfer to a vegan lifestyle..
I love the idea of banana sushi and I’ve been wanting to try this but I was wondering if the banana and peanut butter taste good with the tortilla since it seems like an odd combo. Is there any specific type of tortilla I should use?
I have a lot of health issues, allergies, and intolerances. And everyone keeps saying veganism is so expencive. The only thing that's expencive is the specialty items, nutritional yeast, and the supplements. I'm highly concidering switching over to veganism once I move to a place with a good store nearby. All we have in a little kroger. Lol
I eat the same thing for breakfast every day. I have a smoothie bowl with celery juice. I will have to try the banana sushi, the nice cream and the cookies 😊
I made the cookies and they were so nice!! I added cinnamon and a bit of chopped dark chocolate :)) they were surprisingly filling for being so small, it makes sense because it uses over double the amount of oats in those cookies than I use in a bowl of porridge. I ate 3 as a “snack” and was too full to eat lunch haha
Literally just came back from Aldi - that peanut butter is 3.39! The natural (but no stir) PB is 1.49 (brown lid). I always get that one because I cannot justify the over 100% price increase btween the two
Definitely going to try the icecream breakfast first (cause who doesn't like icecream). Your hashbrown breakfast is very similar to my go-to breakfast, which is biksemad (eng: potato hash). Basically you have potatoes (cut into small squares) and fry it with whatever you want (I use tofu and whatever spices I have on hand), when the potatoes are done, the dish is served. Very easy and cheap recipe for me. Biksemad is typically made with onions and sausage/hotdog, but I don't like onions in the morning for my vegan version, so I exclude it.
You could also make whole wheat flour tortillas, they are so tasty but maybe you need a little practice to get them just right.. or you can go with an easier option and make corn tortillas and an even heatlhier option would be blue corn tortillas which have more protein and a lower starch content and lower glycemic index. And they also contain Vitamins A and Thiamine, B2, and niacin.
Could you bake the peanut butter cookies the night before to enjoy for breakfast the next day or do you recommend doing them the same morning you are planning to eat them?
Those tacos and hash browns sound really good! Right now I'm obsessed with pancakes, especially savory ones (with sauteed veggies and a drizzle of miso tahini sauce or tahini sriracha sauce) and warm oatmeal as where I live is winter and cold.
Hey Caitlin u should also try Indian cuisine coz it has bunch of savoury options with lots of veggies n grains u just need few spices that we put in every thing...
I haven't even watched the video yet BUT I love these budget - friendly recipes you post!!! Overall all your recipes are delicious yet simple and don't ask for a ton of weird ingredients and it's really a life saver 💛🐝
These look awesome! You are such a recipe genius! And I can't believe how cheap these are! I definitely want to make the nice cream. My mouth was watering!
When people say being vegan is expensive, just show them this.
Zainab A where are you from?
Zainab A interesting! Which middle eastern county do you live in? I'm only asking because I'm very interested in the middle east and I've been learning Arabic for 3 years. I'm from New York
Zainab A I'm learning modern standard Arabic. My teacher is Egyptian
Sarah Cecilia TBH
You just have to eat nothing but bananas :’)
I’m kidding, but seriously
Looks delish, AS USUAL! I bake hashbrowns at 425f and they get super CRISPY no oil needed. If you're looking for an oil free option! Much love~ Des
awesome, I'll have to try that!
For how long.
yas I've had so much better luck with them in the oven. No matter what pan I use on the stovetop they stick like crazy.
"Broken At Love" by USC Grad/Actress Karolina Sivas I usually bake a whole bag for about 20-30 mins on a large cookie sheet with parchment paper, in an even layer. But, it does depend on the size pan you use, and how crispy you like them. 😘
The Plant Eaters thank you so much! Will try.
The best part of this video was watching the spinach leaves shrink. I replayed that a few times cuz it's SO satisfying to watch!
1. I adore your posters behind you in the intro/outro! And 2. I love how you think of everyone when you make your recipes, like having alternatives ready for different people!
OMG, thank you for this video 💖 Most of the other "breakfast idea" videos are smoothies or cereal in a jar... 😩
So true, these are easy to make and completely realistic. I can't wait to make some of these.
I hate it 🤪
Or way too expensive for broke people, These are actually affordable!
Rightttt like I’m tryna get me protein in & not be hungry all day
It's always cereal, oatmeal and smoothies, I'm always super hungry after
That banana ice cream! 😍🌱
Me too 😊😊😊
@Jeremias Kyng I'm sorry but why tf would you do that? :)
People: vegan eat grass and tasteless food
Caitlin: hold my pet pig
OMG I fell more in love with you after you showed the part where you cooked with oil. I know it's not your preference so it's a bit of a sacrifice to do that just for us. (and Im sure you want those other people out there to stop bitching about you not using oil) I totally give you mad respect, Caitlin. You are the best!!!
I remember those oatmeal banana cookies from one of your “living below the poverty line” videos...and I make them ALL THE TIME!!! 😍
Yay!!! I like to mix them up with different spices too :)
I made them today! Awesome combo 👍
I like how you did a cost breakdown of each ingredient. It is a very good idea. Everything looks great too.
The recipe for the cookies was perfect. I added a spoon of honey and after they were done baking I sprinkled brown sugar. It was delicious. Thank you for the recipe.
How long did you bake them for and what degrees?...She didn't mention that in the video and I'd love to try this myself.
i prefer to blanch my potatoes until they're almost soft. Then bake them on high for 20 mins with a drop of olive oil and loaded with seasonings(no salt). Always nice and crispy. loved this video!
Thanks sweetheart. I'm a new Vegan and need all the help I can get. This is a blessing!!!
what do you set your oven on to bake the cookies? How long do you leave the cookies on in the oven?
Wow... the colour of your whole look (shirt, necklace and make-up) fits you so well!!🖒
thank you :)
I'm not vegan and probably never will be, but I just watch because you make everything look so delicious and love your creativity and personality.
I swear, you are literally my life saver! You have the best recipes that are affordable, tasty, and nutritionally balanced
Honey I'm pulling out the blender for that nice cream that looks hella good. I'm not even specifically on a vegan diet, though I've considered it, but that looks like a really good lactose intolerant alternative tbh

Your voice is so soothing and i loved how inclusive you were with all the alternatives and options!
I made the black bean tacos, but added quinoa and pico. It was so delish and filling!
you’re by FAR the loveliest and most helpful person on youtube. thank you!
for the banana nice cream, i recommend putting some chia seeds in and a scoop of protein powder (if you have it!). i have it every morning and i top it up with some nut muesli to get in extra fiber and carbs, it's a super good and filling breakfast! thank you caitlin for an awesome video, as usual! x

Love the banana wrapped in a tortilla with peanut butter. Makes a nice snack too!
You can also put the hash browns in you waffle maker for crispy goodness and it cooks both sides at the same time.
I made these hash browns this morning and ooooooh boy they were tasty. I added some left over vegan cheez sauce and a little dollop of vegan sour cream on top. It was so good!

I always have oatmeal with blueberries and a banana for breakfast. I can never get tired of it.
I love the idea of banana sushi and I’ve been wanting to try this but I was wondering if the banana and peanut butter taste good with the tortilla since it seems like an odd combo. Is there any specific type of tortilla I should use?
You should look into Just egg and also try ading black olives to your mexican dishes it adds a salty taste to any dish.
Wooooah I usually never find anything I like in videos like this. BUT I liked ALL of these, soooo good. Thank youuu!!
THANK THANNNNKKKK YOU. Recently became a vegan and was in need of this. You're the best!

Wow, these all look amazing!! I'm definitely going to try the cookie recipe! You're so creative and inspiring👏👏👏 xxx

"This is smaller like shusi sho" 😂 that was adorable
I eat the same thing for breakfast every day. I have a smoothie bowl with celery juice. I will have to try the banana sushi, the nice cream and the cookies 😊

perfect!
Currently making chocolate nice cream with chocolate protein powder and cinnamon. SOOO GOOD
This recipes were amazing ! It’s hard to find flavory food that cheap (and healthy). Definitely gonna try this at home
I made the cookies and they were so nice!! I added cinnamon and a bit of chopped dark chocolate :)) they were surprisingly filling for being so small, it makes sense because it uses over double the amount of oats in those cookies than I use in a bowl of porridge. Love the video! But what's the oven degree and time for the cookie and other recipes???
Where to get the reusable freezer bag? Thanks, great video!

Sunflower Seed Butter!!! Literally did not know this existed until today

i think i’m going to make the cookies for dessert tonight and have whatever is left for breakfast in the morning😁 i’m so glad i found this channel😁😁😁😁
Could you bake the peanut butter cookies the night before to enjoy for breakfast the next day or do you recommend doing them the same morning you are planning to eat them?
“You do you, beau” 😂
I love your sense of humor!!
Yo don't you love it when ppl tell you that the brown spots a banana means it's spoiled? Me too!
I do the hash brown dish often and I have also tried higher heat and tossing them around more
Those tacos and hash browns sound really good! Right now I'm obsessed with pancakes, especially savory ones (with sauteed veggies and a drizzle of miso tahini sauce or tahini sriracha sauce) and warm oatmeal as where I live is winter and cold.

I really appreciate your videos girl. Thank you so much for these budget friendly meals 💯🙏🏽😘
yes! Tacos for breakfast!!!
I think that if you don't use a non stick pan and some oil you will get the hashbrown really crispy
These look great thanks for the ideas cant wait to try them
I really have been enjoying this series! Thanks for all the thought and planning you put into them!
Hi, these are great ideas however, how long and at what temp do you cook the cookies? and how much baking powder?
I'm so excited to make the nice cream! Chocolate ice cream was my favorite and I'm so happy I can have a substitute 😁
This is awesome I needed this video because I am on a budget and don't know what to make. Thank you
Scramble tofu tacos!
Also make sure your baking powder doesn't have aluminum.
I definitely want to try the cookies out ! How long and at which high to you need to bake them ?
that nice cream looks identical to a wendy’s frosty 😍
Great ideas! Question: how long do you think would cookies last and at what storage temperature?
Girl!!! I'm not even Vegan but these meals were yummy looking and so easy!!! New subbie💙💚💙💚
Love this series, the banana "sushi" is so cute!
I haven't even watched the video yet BUT I love these budget - friendly recipes you post!!! Overall all your recipes are delicious yet simple and don't ask for a ton of weird ingredients and it's really a life saver 💛🐝
What spices and berries would y'all recommend adding to the nicecream to spice it up? The obvious one is cinnamon, I know.
These look awesome! You are such a recipe genius! And I can't believe how cheap these are! I definitely want to make the nice cream. My mouth was watering!
