I have a Volkswagen Polo 1.6 year 2000 and it's so loyal, comfortable and efficient. Never had an issue like the ones in the video, those are idiots who don't take care of their cars!!
I own both a Polo IV 2000, 1.4 MPI and a Golf V 2006, 1.9 TDI.
The first is the most loyal, reliable car I've ever had. Even with fucking smoke from the damaged crankcase breather it drove me home safely.
The other is a rusted, damaged, faulty piece of shit that spends more time at the mechanic's than actually driving. From the turbo to the dashboard display, I've put as much money into it as the initial purchase cost was.
The irony is that I love them both.
Same with my Mk4 Golf. With 260,000km and even skipping maintance a lot it never had a problem
And then there is bus from 70s. Sometimes even rusted through and occasionally falling apart while driving, but always there next day.
I had a 2008 polo 1.6 16v, bought new in 2008 and kept for 10 years, ever had a single problem, just regular (more or less) maintenance, sold cause wanted something bigger, was still going strong, bought a other vw... kept it 6 months and resold it immediately 😅
these are one of the LAST SERIES that put value on efficiency and safety...
DONT BUY a newer series!
you will get disappointed and receive a "common" car putten value on CHEEPNESS and FAST NEED TO BE REPAIRED... to be able to sell you repair-parts AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE and send you to an workshop for no reason (software tells you to do so) to cash (melk) you out as much as possible LIKE A COW!

0:31 This is an actual safety feature, designed in case of a crash manual or auto windows lifters won't prevent passengers of getting out of the car or being rescued in case doors may not open. It's also main reason on why you are going to keep changing windows lift regulators mechanism tha faster the more open/closing your doors do banging. You can activate also this failing window feature by closing regularly with your windows down, they will bang inside even more and crush the plastic thing taht will make your car more windy. Specially annoying when your are on a trip or at night, holidays with all your nearby car workshops closed... 2 or 3 zipties and at least one torx screwdriver and you can disable it.

Google says it means Turbocharged Direct injection but has diffrent meanings
@@bokexd3173 Yeah I just checked it - back in the day TDI meant turbo diesel intercooler. It seems fair now we have the common rail high pressure, direct fuel injection systems in modern diesel engines.

Haha, someone in my family used to have one of these VW golf cars with the design that they showed in the animated commercial, but build maybe in the year 2000. In the end, after maybe 15 years, that thing barely worked anymore. Always something wrong with the motor/engine, speedometer broken, sounded weird, etc. It feels weird to see old ads for stuff that is falling apart today… :,)
Still in love with my 2003 Passat 1.9 TDI with 1.24 Million km in total. Did swap the AVF engine at about 800k km with an ARL.
Used to love VWs :)

We still have the old Golf 3. Had 6 cars since then but we still drive the old one too. It is 27 years old and has over 500.000 km in that 1.4 CL.
