haha i really should've explained it more, our program usually has 2 different casts for the same play. since we have 4 shows total for one play (thurs night, fri night, sat matinee, and sat night) each cast gets 2 shows each!

That's what they do on Broadway most of the time.
It keeps the mic more hidden onstage because it goes through your hair and not around the side of your face.
most of the time that’s what they do on broadway plus if it’s too close to the mouth it will crackle
