    Dictation 222
Here's a travel rule: any time you see a bar with a sign that says "Stories, Beers & Wood Burning Stoves", you go in.
I'll give you the best souvenir that you'd ever get in Newfoundland, eh?
    What's that?
    That's a kiss off a Newfoundland-born!
Thank you! That is...that...I got it!
Daily Dictation is an ESL/EFL channel on UA-cam for people who want to improve their English listening skills. Various audio samples are used to teach the vast varieties of English pronunciation. The purpose of these videos is to expose English students to as many types of English scenarios as possible. An introduction to the background of the topic being discussed, a discussion of cultural points, and a detailed discussion of the pronunciation make up most of the lessons.
If you can SAY it, you can HEAR it!! Pronunciation is VERY important^^

In Buenos Aires, Argentina, a typical souvenir for tourists is a ceramic made figure (or any other material) of a couple dancing tango. Tango is one of the most known features in our city.

I listened thousands of times and I still can't make out the words "ever get" the woman supposedly said. Despite my frustration, I think this particular DD was REALLY useful for me, thanks Shane!

Well, in Egypt you can get souvenirs about ancient Egyptians, antics, small statues, pharaohs, etc. Also there are souvenirs about The river Nile and some beautiful scenes in Egypt.

One of the most popular souvenirs in my place is an earflapped fur cap a la russe. And here's a travel tip: don't buy it in a souvenir shop but go round the corner, buy it in a military shop and it will cost you five times cheaper.))

Foreigners in Moscow or St. Petersburg like to buy matryoshka dolls and ushankas (fur caps with ear flaps). I live in central Russia. In my native place foreigners are rare guests. Russians from other places, who come here for business or for something else, buy as souvenirs our native clay toys, clay whistles in form of cow, rooster or other bird, maybe it is a nightingale :-)

It's any time. I'd say it as one word when, say someone thanks me for something. The, I'd say anytime.

Yes, one should get used to all accents. American movies are not just about pure American accent. There are Asians, Latinos, Africans, Europeans. Lots and lots on nationalities speak English.

You're right. Not all Canadians say eh - Quebecers don't do it. Those guys speak their own version of French (which the French from France can't understand because it's full of anglicisms) while saying that their culture is unique in North America and that English speaking Canadians don't have a real culture since they borrow everything in terms of culture from the Unites States and blah, blah, blah, blah........
