Hello everyone! This is a remake of the original tutorial. I've added a few details I missed in the first video, and the solos are now more accurate. As always, you can find separate PDF TAB sheets for each guitar on my website, www.songtutorial.com, along with the backing track and the Guitar Pro lesson. Hope you enjoy it! 😃
my mom passed away in 2017. she was an OG metalhead. Black sabbath, priest, metallica, maiden. you name it. I learned this for her because I think she'd be proud. thanks for your help.
Good man. I was born in '69, 80's metal never leaves you. I'm 54yrs old, play all the bands you listed on my Les Paul in the basement after the kids are in bed. 🤘. God bless your Mom.
Dude. That was amazing. I know where to go for Maiden tabs. Thank you! Stellar playing, and one of my favorites. Thinking about playing this live in class when we talk about capital punishment.
Not all Maiden harmonies can be played using a pedal alone. You need to set the correct key and scale first. For this song, use the key of E and set the last knob to the 'minor' position. If it doesn't sound well, change it to G key and "major" position. Give it a try and let me know how it goes.
Great work, thank you very much for this tutorial, just learning this one in our band 🙂. P.S.: are you and Mr. Tabs the same person? The design of your channels looks quite similar ^^
Thank you very much 🙏 No I'm not Mr.Tabs. I create only 80s/90s heavy metal style videos. Yes, the style is similar, though I'm not dressed as fancy as he is 😁
@@songtutorial Well, I would say it looks quite fancy too :-) Btw, don´t you think, that the bars 80, 88 and 92 has to be the same as 84? I believe 84 is the right one ...
@@Peppo70-v6v Oh, there's a typo in bar 80. The last note should be on the 5th fret, not the 2nd. Adrian and Dave play the same thing, but Dave ends on the 5th fret while Adrian ends on the 7th fret. That's the beauty of this riff!
@@songtutorial Okay, I just listened to the record and did not recognize that 5/7 position... sometimes videos give more information about how they play it. But I have to admit, that this e with d then sounds not so beautiful in my ears 😁...
A couple of years maybe. You need to practice a lot of hours everyday though. Just buy a guitar and start. Playing easy songs is a lot of fun, trust me 😉
I don't know about this specific device. In general, for Iron Maiden sound you need to look for an overdrive pedal like the Ibanez Screamer and a Marshall head + cab preferably from the 80s like the JMC800. Your korg might have some simulators for these type of gear, search your manual for more info. 🙂

Ahhhh the trick here is that Steve ends playing G, F#, E, D on the bass line! Listen to it carefully. This riff is pure magic hahaha
I have never played eletric guitar in my life, you think one can learn to play it like this under a year?
A couple of years maybe. You need to practice a lot of hours everyday though. Just buy a guitar and start. Playing easy songs is a lot of fun, trust me 😉
Nop, unless you are a freak of nature,
Even Hendrix sucked when he first started, we all suck when we first start, I’ve been played for 13 years such good fun.
can i ask you how long you been playing the guitar??
+a great video this is!!
Sure! I've been playing for 30 years - with a several years break due to injury 😊😊
How to play in my ax3g korg?..

5:17 tab says “T” (tapping) but your hand is not tapping. Any reason?
It's a typo apparently.
@@songtutorial ah ok. Fair point. Thanks for the response 😊
Drop D?
No - standard tuning :)
What's that guitar?
That's an Ibanez S540 Custom (made in Japan)
Is this fat distortion??
Kinda. Read my other reply.
