Surat had a hugh potential in garment industry ever since the fall of textiles in India's manchester, but unfortunately local authorities, manufacturers, and traders never did enough, now they got a chance, so let's see.

    Bangladesh's crisis is India's gain.
After the changes in the political setup, it wiil take quite sometime for Bangladesh to recover.
That is the internal matter of Bangladesh.

Some Bangladeshis have claimed that India is badly dependent on tourists from Bangldesh and Bangladeshi medical tourists.
Nearly 9% of India's GDP is earned from tourism, most of it (that is 8%) is earned from domestic tourism, that is Indians travelling inside their country, within their own state or Indians from one state travelling to other indian states while a meager part (1% of India's GDP) is earned from international tourism (from tourists from other countries- that too westerners of indian origin in large part). Earnings from Bangldeshi tourists take up less than a small one-tenth fraction of that 1% of India' GDP. India's domestic population is large enough to sustain its tourism sector growth.
During pre-covid boom of Bangladeshi tourist arrival in India, it was 2 million bangladeshi tourists yearly or around 5400 bangladeshi tourists per day, even if all of them enter India through Kolkata- it is laughable to claim that West Bengal which has 110 million population or Kolkata city which has 14 million population depends on few thousand Bangladeshis for survival of their business, economy or livelihood. Bangladeshi media attempt to portray a different overall perception among Bangladeshis by sending their recruited journalists to interview only those hotels and shops located in small periphery of central Kolkata that are frequented by Bangladeshi tourists and are not liked by other tourists because of heavy concentration of Bangladeshis in those small pockets. India earns USD 9 billion yearly by receiving medical tourists from 78 countries including from the US, Canada, Australia, UK, south east asia, Africa, Middle east, Russia due to quality and reasonable cost but India's health and medical sector is largely dependent on Indian patients.
Now some facts and figures. India exports around USD 780 billion worth of goods and services yearly of which just USD 10 billion is to Bangladesh. India has forex reserves worth around USD 660 billion while Bangladesh has forex reserves worth just around USD 19 billion as of now. These macro statistics bust unreal, false and deluded Bangladeshi claims that India is dependent on Bangladesh.
