      Thanks mate, appreciate it!
      Guessing you’ve tried both on?
They are both great, guess whatever fits best or is on sale at the time :)

Great review. Like your comment regarding lack of breathability and needing cleaning. I notice that I have to wash mine every couple outings or the breathability really starts to suffer. Nothing worse than being out hiking in the rain and overheating in your jacket. I just sent mine back for warranty. 7 years old and inner layer started to delaminate.

Thanks for the detailed review, very helpful! Mind me asking where you bought the jacket and how you reckon it compares to the OR Aspire/Foray? My buying options here in NZ are limited to the NZD450 RRP so I've resorted to looking online.

      Thanks for watching :)
Brought mine from Paddy Pallin here in Australia, it was however discounted.
Cant accurately compare to that jacket since I haven't used it.
But I can tell you two years on I have used it during mt biking (including falls), adventure races, daily wear, camping and hiking and no problems so far.

Cheers, sounds like a lot of very eventful use so that's reassuring :) I was on the fence about it since some reviews say the DWR wears off quickly and I'm wary about having to retreat it often.

Monica Merchant yes it does need treatment reasonably often to keep in the best 'water beading' condition in the high wear areas like shoulders but I've treated it only twice in the two years, for me it's not a big deal, still keeps me dry.
The toughness and construction have been the big winners for me, previous rain jackets never survived this long with such hard use
