    I had purchased my Arowana in hopes of setting up a 150 Gallon Aquarium with other large freshwater fish, However; almost immediately after purchasing my Arowana my Angelfish Community started pairing off. All of a sudden I had a couple of Angel pairs that were trying to breed in a 50 Gallon Aquarium.
    As I began to look into information in regards to breeding angels I realized there is little to no reliable information available. Because of this I have decided to dedicate all my tanks to study and breed Angelfish in order to put out helpful how tos, videos and writings. unfortunately I had to give my Arowana away and hope to one day be able to once again grow out a baby arowana from juvenile to maturity.

    Congrats on a lovely arowana! And i am really happy to know that this is a grow out tank and you have plans for bigger tank as it grows. I really appreciate it.
    TIP: add floating plants or plants that have roots dropping below from surface. Like water hyacinth or duck weed. Arowanas love it. In fact any fish that spends time near surface loves it eg.all gourami. If you cannot have live plants then use silk plants or make diy sponge plants (i have done this many times). Avoid plastic plants, they are gross and i have never liked them so its more of personal thing.
    Also please do not use fish to cycle tanks, the way you used betta. When we keep fish as a pet, it is our responsibility to take their care so we should try to avoid making them go through that pain of elevated ammonia and nitrite levels. Use a established media or just wait out for ~4 weeks. I cannot force you, but its a genuine request.
    Btw its a nice setup for the silver dragon. :)

    Buy the appropriate tank before buying the fish. Turn the lights off in the tank before adding a new fish. Don't shake the bag and jiggle it around as you're acclimating it to the tank water. Glad you gave this arowana away, hopefully the new owner is a bit more knowledgeable

      Pardon my language it was a f-ing bitch at first but now it seems to be doing its job. Today I'm going test test the water again my tap has hard water KH is low and pH is high (before it was low now it's high). I'm going to add my disk bubbler. I need to work on getting the supplies you recommend on UA-cam for a defuser.

    You generally do not want to put tank water into a bag that a fish has been in for any amount of time. The longer the fish is in the more oxygen it depletes, causing ph levels drop and the ammonia to rise. This rise in ammonia is a lot less harmful with a Lower ph but as soon as you add alkaline water to it you stabilize the ph which makes the ammonia levels a lot more deadly.

      Hi Nicole!
      Well my intentions were to focus this channel on the arowana and cover other aquarium topics here and there, however; life happens! All of a sudden my 55 Gallon community of angels started pairing off and spawning. This is not necessarily "rare" but quite difficult and time consuming to achieve....so after much consideration I decided I want to focus on Angelfish and breeding them as well as the Flowerhorn Fish. I ended up giving all my fish in all my videos to my friend who has a shop so that they could find better homes (my buddies shop is low key so his clients are all fish enthusiasts) and I'm now using all my tanks for Angels. Despite this my buddy has let me film any of his fish any time so this way I'm able to keep making different videos🤗
      In the future I will be setting up an aro tankm...but as for now I have to focus on the angels ):

    If that was a shipped fish to you that is a very bad idea to open the bag after being closed, the ammonia can become toxic very quickly with such a large amount of oxygen getting into the bag. Go to 'The King of DIY' and don't make mistakes, these are live fish.

      Idk if you're familiar with shipping fish, but the fish are not fed for 3 days to prevent ammonia building. And for oxygen and ammonia to create nitrogen monoxide, thered have to be a concentrate amount of ammonia and high pressure of oxygen.... don't believe everything you hear kid

      @squares8657 Рік тому

      late bute 350 gal (8ft long) very strong lids that cant be easily moved by the arowana, add a few decorations but its best not to in order to have more open space and low lights
