- This is and easy step by step tutorial with voice over for beginners.
Simple galaxy painting with stars, silhouette of mountains and a little sailboat. I decided to divide it into half and make it a seascape - as seascapes are one of my favorite things to paint.

You are right I tried it with just a little thick paper and a normal set of water colors and it is way to wet. Not great but maybe next time I can get the amazing result you had with better materials lol

Could be! :) Some paints are also little bit less and some little bit more transparent.

what is the white color you used?
is it water color white or something else?
It is white gouache, yes. I usually use it for stars. :)
Can I ask which brush you used to paint the sailboat, if you remember? I'm struggling to find one that is long and small enough to get those details :)
That is some no name brush I got long long time ago. I do not remember at all. It is a synthetic brush, though.
I tried to paint this, but ended up having a red ring around the yellow centre that I didn't know how to blend away:( I also smudged the sail boat! The black paint sort of bled into the paper as I was trying to paint it.
It sounds to me like the paper dried while you painted background and was too wet when painting a boat. If you decide to paint it again, just be careful with that. I am sure it will look awesome.❤
