- The Viking Sea is docking into the Scottish port of Lerwick. It's a major challenge considering the port is over 200 feet shorter than the ship. Can the staff captain in charge dock without causing damage?
From the show Mighty Cruise Ships: bit.ly/MightyViking
The staff captain "yeah!" lol Thrilled.
So, that's Lerwick? It's smaller than I thought it was going to be. I read that Lerwick has an art museum, a modern-art museum, a natural history museum, a planetarium, 2 universities, a 42 acre botanical garden, 7 nightclubs, 3 Michelin Guide restaurants, 22 pubs, and a 12,000 square foot roller disco with free admission to all cruise guests.
Not bad for a number two driver.
Beautiful cruise ship. Wow lots of skills from the Captain and it’s crew. and the Pilot from the port. Job Well done! Very nice to watch! 🥰
What the heck was that yea for at the end so weird!!
Those rubber fenders shown at
The real question.... How to you ship a dock?
Well done! You don’t often hear “Lerwick” pronounced correctly ...
k thx ima go dock my ship now
Was on this ship this morning with the pilots in Basseterre..really nice ship...wasn't this captain nor staff captain though.
I am da Captain now.
The only reason the staff captain got to dock the ship was because the captain did not want to be liable for destroying a 300 million dollar vessel
i wonder how good these captains are at parallel parking
So serious it seams like rocket science
Looks good
is there any side propeller on these giant ships doing side parking?
good very good
🛳
