Great vid mate, this has really helped me out as I have just brought a second hand table and was unsure how to put all the bits together and couldn't afford professionals to do it. This was just the JOB. Cheers
A cloth is nearly £500. With UK social clubs closing down all over the place, it might not have cost that for the table. After they gave it a vacuum it looked OK. Keep doing that and brushing and ironing it and it will be fine. It would have been a good idea to stretch it a bit.
Great video. I assume from this that in reality a snooker table is in two parts independently. The base is one part and the top side of slate and matching cushions and pockets the other. In reality would is be correct that two different brands of snooker tables can exchange/inter change tops over bottoms ? I ask this question as my snooker club has three BCE Westbury tables from 1983 ... they are past due and don't play well despite having new clothes put on annually. We have looked at ne tables from different manufacturers and in all cases are disappointed that the bases of new tables don't seem to be as solid and sturdy as tables from 30 or 40 years ago. So I am wandering if putting on new slates and cushions while retaining the old bases is the answer OR is it that probably the slates needs to be removed, the old bases checked to be revelled and rebalanced and then the original slates refitted ? Any advice is appreciated. Cheers.
great vid im doing mine in summer / just need to know how u got the middle slate in the right place im guessing u take a central measurment between to central legs / to find centre line of slate
