i love that phrase, gentle adjustment with a mallet
Christopher Wong this works on kids too. 😂😂👼🏻
British engineering has had this ethos for centuries!
In the beginning i thought it was easy. Just before laying the slabs i thought its difficult but possible. When i saw he placing the cloth and doing the adjustment, i realized, certain things should be done by the pros. Amazing video, thanks for sharing.
Nah, nothing pro about it.
You're just really bad at math.
if something seems easy it is difficult if something looks difficult don't even bother trying.
Alfred Thomas same. I thought me & my mate can do this up until the cloth.
It seems easy, but the truth is that assembling this table is anything but easy. You have to be very precise, patient and cautious when you are taking the measurements because one mistake will completely ruin the process.
I knew it was difficult because years ago I saw some guy changing the cloth of a simple pool table and, even without any of these specs, it was still a real craft work.
You can tell these guys have done a few tables in their time. They just came in and set it up like it was nothing. They didn’t miss a thing, no wasted effort, very impressive.
I wish I had a snooker table
I wish I had room for a snooker table
.... I wish I was any good at snooker
me too.. tho
*****
good idea i'll start by winning the lottery
I wish I was a little bit taller.
I wish I can fly
I wish I was a baller.
If I earn enough money, I will get one, the craftsmanship is just excellent. Yes, this table is expensive but I am sure it worths every penny.
So beautiful craftsmanship! Everybody should remember what great work it is to "make" a snooker-table, when they see a snooker-game. Great respect for and to the men, who prepare the tables!
Thank you for uploading this!
Wooooww i didnt know how complicated was to build a snooker table! WONDERFUL!!
Great video. Can't imagine someone who hasn't been trained in doing this would ever want to take this on. Such skill and craftsmanship required.
You can clearly see the craft in this man's hands. He must had done that million times already. Great job!
Thank you for a most interesting post. I've never before seen the entire process start to finish. Bookmarked.
if I was rich a snooker table would be the first thing I'll get
@Robin Wilson yikes
@Robin Wilson Let's hope your wife doesn't see this comment! 😂😂😂
If I were rich I definitely wouldn’t have those carpet tiles! 😛
Yeah.you need a big space in another words big house.small house and the table might can still be in the house but no more space for player to go around the table and cueing.
@@maxsonanthonywilliam-1284 thats why if I was rich
That is a work of art and the men building it are artists.
I am so envious 🤤 I would love a full size snooker table. When I was a child my parents squeezed one into the living room of their flat in Glasgow. It was only there for about 2 months, by then my mother had enough 😢 and it was gone.
The guy fitting the cloth has done it before no doubt beautiful table.
No shit.
Sherlock
I had me Steve Davies snooker set when I was a kid. It was something of a half meter across and 30 some centimeters wide. Cues were toothpicks and the balls were as marbles. I truly felt like I was a "aristocrat" played snooker on our living room table.
this snooker table is my dream table. Tight tournament spec pockets (not the large buckets for pockets you find on club tables.). steel backed cushions w/ northern rubber. and strachan 6811 cloth. its set up just like the tables youll se on TV.
I like to imagine there was an entire classical orchestra in the room playing music as they built the table.
That hand stitching was intense.
This video shows exactly why Riley Tables are the best in the world. Pure Craftsmanship.
there shit
+SteveoMagician They're*
Rat Trap Burroughes and watts steel block r the best tables out there
I want to try using tacks for the bed cloth but first i need to get one of those magnetic hammers. Don't lick your fingers. Have a wet sponge for that. Nice video.
This is real art..! Just beautifull to watch..!
looks like the fitter is having a cheeky 'hand shandy' at 2:23
pocket billiards perhaps?

Great professional work guys. Hats off.
I am having my garden snooker place built in 2-3 weeks and my Aristocrat installed in 5 weeks, can't wait for that!
Can't wait to have one in my yard next year as planned
A thing of beauty is a joy forever! However, only a knob head would have a snooker table of this Quality and weight asssebled to live , on "TOP" of carpet!!
thanks!
very good, shows many ,things about how to set up snooker table.
nice to see professionals at work!
good vídeo work too!
music 5*
Am I the only one thinking the table is far too close to the wall? :(
no, you are not.
To make room for the filming equipment
Tommy V The Baton
Wonderful Craftsmanship.
My table has never let me down thanks
Ok using tacks when there are staple guns is just showing off! Good show!
Why the heck am I watching this Friday night at 1AM drinking beer. Wtf is wrong with me.
Either Poor or Fantastic life choices depending on perspective, haha.
I'm sitting here at 0133 drinking cuban rum watching the craftsmen build a splendid aristocrat table of snooker. At day I usually spend my time restoring french clocks. thats simply life, nothing wrong with that:)
Because you have great taste, why else?
Leszek Michał Same
It's friday, it's 1:25 AM and I was thinking the same thing. Except beer... I'm going to grab a beer now. Thanks!
Dire positional shot on the black after that red.
kenny jonczyk and that break was terrible, didn't even pass the blue
Why set up the table right in the corner of the room where cueing would be hampered by two walls? It looks to me like it would be difficult playing off the left cushion or especially the bottom cushion.
with that music, i feel like you guys are installing a snooker table for Charles the third
art.!! i wonder how many hours they needed to assemble the table..
It is a thing of beauty though. I just wish my eyesight was as good as it was when I played. I was never great. 54 was my best break, but I do miss playing.
nothing better than watching the assembly with some BACH on 😂
best porn I've seen in a while
This is a first class job and these boys have earned their bonus...Cost at least $25,000.00 CA installed I bet...
Great clip, but some minor questions: why don't use a different cloth to dust off the table, and why not use pieces with the same colour as the legs to level the table?
brilliant - absolutely craftsmen. wonder how many tables they have installed to get that fast and skilful?
Missed out a bit regarding putting melted beeswax in the slate joints.....or have they stopped doing that?
i was wondering about the seams too....... your beeswax reference cleared it up though
Indeed, where is the beeswax???
dimplez dimples the older tables they us plaster of paris this is 2 get a better fixing n a smother finish.
beeswax is by far the best product for ensuring flush slates, much better than plaster of paris, which may be prone to cracking.
wax will melt when you iron the cloth , soft sand car body filler is used tin modern tables , plaster of used to be used years ago , but good hand floated slates are made as a set and if done correct no filler at all is used .
Wax is an american filler , we do not use that here in the UK .
Mine is just about to be delivered to my home in US. I can see 3 fitters doing this job. However, only one fitter is flying in from UK to install it for me. How is he gonna do it alone? Of course, I'm more than happy to help, but I'm not a pro.
can i ask you how you bought one, where, and the process it took to get one here to the US. please and thank you. i will reply and see your replies if you do . :)
@@MitsuoRLCoach Mitsuo 1) You wanna go to the official Riley website and submit the Enquire/Quote form 2) Or contact Sharon Doyle directly who's the international export manager at Riley, nicest person ever. 3) You are now on the phone with Sharon, she will send you the terms and the final cost which includes shipping and fitting. 4) You gotta wire 50% deposit and wait up to 4 months while your table is made for you. 5) After long wait, your table is now ready for shipping, you wanna wire remaining 50% and this step. 6) 3 huge and heavy as hell crates gonna be dispatched by container vessel - another long wait, about 1 month if you are on the west coast 7) Local hauling company takes care delivering crates to you 8) After it has been delivered, Sharon will schedule installation date, fitter will fly in to you in about 1 month. Takes lots of time, but it's worth it. Here's my installation time-lapse:

1st thing I would own when rich amazing table and craftsmanship
11 seconds in and could't help but notice the attention to detail with the stitching crossed over on the pocket. " Pain staking attention to detail "
Beautiful table!
Omg!
Cant believe he put the 'jack' straight onto the carpet!
sami sami nor me we always use old carpet n a block b4 jacking
Great video, thanks. Curious to know how long the entire process takes, and approximately how much the total installation cost is. Cheers
why aren't all parts a exact factory preset block up to mount>? why all these brackets and and leather cuts etc.?
good work boys.. but instead of having to craft your own wood under the slate to put the tacks in, why don't you use the glue down method with the scotch weld 10 like diamond? also why don't you use a electric or pneumatic staple gun instead of tacks? just curious
Good job nice work 👍
I bet this film was made for the customers that thought "I bet I can save money on assembling this myself". No, no you can't.
:)
Hahahaha, so true!
Hi i've just bought a 2nd hand 3/4 snooker table i'm a keen snooker player and realy love the game ' would please asist me in assembling ,covering and spec;s of the table as well as the measurements of the D and all other marks marks on the table can' wait for ure reply .Thanks Tollie
Very good video but why was the grouting between the slates omitted ?
I wonder why they left out filling the slate gaps with filler or bees wax ?
At riley we sell top quality snooker tables, presented by a 480p video.
What at 9:52 ?!?! Drag the cloth over the slate, this removes any dust! What about the pliers, hammer, staples, car keys, coffee cups they've left, not to mention a kilo of sawdust!
I like how you've got to measure the wood and make a mark at halfway, as if they couldn't do it at the factory, like its going to be different on every table or something. Surely it would be the same on every table?
OK Mike, put it on the slate.
your Ginsters from the fridge?
Is it wise to put the nails on the cloth? C&n't they make holes as they move when other nailes are hammered in?
When the players execute a power shot on these tables the ball that goes into the pocket goes perfectly. In my table which isn't a Ryley table, sometimes when we play a power shot, the ball go into the pocket and come back... why is that?
Hi my name is Pradeep kumar from India I have Riley table it’s a very old table I need to change it’s rubber nd pocket leather pls tell me which leather has to be use it’s cow leather or Buffalo leather ?? Nd while changing rubber near pocket under cutting the rubber is needed or not let me it ll very helpful thank u in advance
Apologies we only provided the video, please contact the manufacturer.
This is dream coming true!
oh my God!!! I want this job!!!
Are the side rails bolted to the slate directly? Do they use plastic plugs inside the slate holes?
Wonder if this at their demo room (see no smoking sign on blue double door in background, unusual in private house!)
why am i watching something i cant afford and dont have enough space for!? haha, i guess i'll just carry on going to the snooker hall for me!
You can pick up a secondhand one for a few hundred quid. Just that most people don't have the space.
@@nuntana2 And what would be the price of the brand new unused snooker table? Like that in the video?
@@eternalbattle1438 Thousands.

Fantástico, incrível, sensacional, meus parabéns à todos os profissionais da equipe, abraços fiquem com Deus.
that job wud drive one mad !!
What do you use to fill the gaps between the five slabs?
Which animal leather is used for pocket ??
Realmente incrível um belo trabalho de arte em equipe é claro
Doh! They forgot a leg!
Seriously though, there was a lot of on the fly wood cutting and leather trimming. And hand stitching the pockets? Shouldn't that have been done at the factory?
I agree
+Thom Woodwork and Art I assume then that your group is somehow validated by Riley? They seem to be giving you a great deal of responsibility.
+PointyTailofSatan Oh, never mind. I see you are "Riley Qualified Fitters", which answers my dumb question. lol
not when its a hand built table my friend.... takes the hand built out of it when its all made in a factory on a production line. production line products suck.... nothing like a hand built table by master craftsmen!
Jodie Barker i was a fitter 4 Sir Bentley Billiards in hungford some of the slate weighed up 2 a 1/4 of a ton n theres 5 piece's what they never showed in this vid was plastering the slate joints
i wan ask ...my table have problem ...went i shot the ball ...then ball hit the backside...then the ball jump out ... y??
another...my ball have damge color..can paint it >?
+powerrangjer2001 First question - because you hit it too hard or used excessive english. Second question - if your ball is painted, you have shitty balls - buy better ones; I recommend Aramith snooker balls.
i recommend spelling lessons
as anybody got the Riley lads a drink?
Ds
There's one thing that doesn't ever change, and that's tiny wheels on British vans :)
Just a funny observation I've made over 30 years :D
2:20 his mate could have picked a better place and time to do that.
Omg, i cant beleve
Having a wank on the job! 😂
Is the guy with a moustache fitting the table Alan Matthews?
It's not. It's Leighton Bailey
What is the radius of center and side pocket holes?
I wouldn't fancy playing a shot up the table from the black ball cushion. If there's a window behind those curtains the butt of the cue would be too close for comfort.
If you are truly a snooker nut you take the shot and fuck the window .a window can be replaced but you'll never have that shot again
I didn't see the gaps between the slate slabs being filled? Did I miss something?
Joanna Hammond plutzy is pre applied to the slate. You did not miss anything
missed the bee's wax for the joints, maybe just showroom table
Can you tell me the hole size distance and table layout
the end looks close to the wall
Watching this at 4am.. what the fuck is up with my life
Ten grand for that table! I would love space and money for one of them! Oh well, I can dream!

Why doesn't he leave the pocket template in position before screwing?
Voice over by Sir Harish Bhimani?
Well, that's a heck of a lot easier and quicker to put together than IKEA furniture.
lmao
This is art❤️
I would give my right bollock for a snooker table in my house.
you need balls when you play this game so dont give your right bollock up
Person working at Riley: "Yet another bollock sent to us, guys throw another 12 footer in the van!"
Lol

i've never played snooker, barely know pool, havn't held a que in my hands for more than an hour collectively my entire life. but this was interesting to watch...i will say its about the "posh"est thing i've ever seen. XD
what is the guy in the background doing at 2:22 😳 .
wackin a quick one off lol
Is this table good for serving dinner ?
Does the room look too small for the table or is it me?
I am watching this at 2.27am. fuck my life
Seems like they would do about one or maybe two of these a year.
Hand sawing on slate made me nervous
how long do you think this took them ? 90 minutes?
What is that music ?
I must know.
Allo . queria saber se o bilhar de SNOOKER grande e aquecido .obrigado
