Unfortunately, wotc massively focused on legends instead of planeswalkers cause "cough cough" commander format so these card are here to stay despite most being garbage for standard. At least with the channel lands rotating the archetype is gonna fade cause no more endless value.
I really like the art of that cycle of lands the Anchorage is from. Islands in the shape of a bird, Paddocks in the shape of a llama, a mountain in the shape of a dinosaur, etc.
The most fun I ever had playing UW control was back around RTR. I my win condition in the main was a single elixir of immortality and my opponent naturally decking due to draw steps.

I've had enough triggers ordered in unwanted ways (my most played deck is shrines in Brawl, which has a lot of triggers, so this isn't really the devs' fault), so I always keep manual triggers on. Once you get used to it, you don't want to turn that setting off, ever.
@@therealax6 I use manual triggers since arena came up and i can assure you that before that 8gb update, arena game client ordered the triggers to provide the best outcome possible, which is, wedding token enters the battlefield and gets a counter from virtue. That was the default trigger order coded in the game whether you used auto or manual triggers. After the update the order was reversed. Client properly ordering those two triggers like it used to do is quality of life specially in mobile. I'm a veteran player and sometimes i forgot to order them so imagine someone new to the game.

When. I first started I wanted to play green and white. I wanted them to be good so badly, but green alone wasn't and green and white didn't do great against much more. It made me sad. I wanted my elves and Lions and trees and nature to smash in like some sort of druid master. Instead swampy things killed me easily, and I didn't draw many cards.
in these best of 1 decks, why not let yourself use the sideboard on what would be the "first" game in a best of 3 series? still all the same cards, but allows you to have a best of 1 version of that particular deck God knows these pro players would be swapping in their sideboard differently knowing that there's a 70% chance they face Monored and Boros
It really funny when snobbish control players bitch about how aggro players have to make decisions, while in fact aggro players have like 4 playable cards in hand, while control players tank each turn while having one playable card at most...

thats what happens when every color has insanely powerful creatures meanwhile green creatures "power" comes from being like +1+1 over the normal stat.
