I have told about my son already he is 3.9 years old. He has many words he can request his needs . He can talk wat he wants and answer yes no questions he has improved a lot he is academically good .
Only problem is he is less responding to name and social not good . He won’t respond to anyone . He needs lots of prompts to respond. My ABA therapy suggested center based therapy instead of home therapy session because he is doing good at home he is struggling in social situations. But I am worried if he will adapt any behavior from other kids like self injury behavior or hitting . Can a autism kid get behavioral issues from copying . Because now my son has only verbal stimms otherwise he is very well behaved kid.
Wat do u suggest ? Home therapy or center based therapy .
Both are good. I can't really recommend one specific type of therapy without assessing and knowing the child, sorry.

It's common for children who have autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to run or wander away from caregivers or secure locations. This is called elopement.
Like in road side suddenly running and will not stop wen asked to stop

He has improved a lot … he speaks his need . Follow some instructions.
He is going to preschool here in USA with support teacher .
He does not involve in natural
Conversation and socially he won’t respond .
He know many things but he cannot express .

I have 4 year son , started speaking late , OT session ongoing for 2 months , speech is there but I am facing issue with many sentences repetition whole day , something he watched on TV ( Niki , do you like this ??) or some he learned from teacher ( Jan -Dec) or some sentences that his speech teacher told him ..like time to go home ...let's go home ..he randomly start saying any of such thing .. his understanding, emotions are clear but he sometimes gets lots and only want to say anything random..

He is having very difficult in studying mother tounge language that is malayalam..

Hello mam my son is 8yrs old and he is diagnosed with autism. Speech is there but only 2to3 words. Sentence formation is not there. He is following commands understanding whatever i tell him. Not playing with other children's. Whatever he wants he will ask for it in 2 words but not framing sentences.please help me.

Still he is not taking
He calls Amma some time
Sometimes any other words but not repeating
When we say something to repeat him he will just open his mouth
Then any other time he will say it
But not situational
But it’s very rare
He will show the things he wants if it’s not in his reach
He is a school going child
He can show what we ask in the book
Now in 2nd std

Speech and language is difficult for all autistic kids, but the amount of difficulty varies. So sometimes it is difficult for children to co-ordinate the fine Motor control of their oral structures to talk (dyspraxia) even if they WANT to talk. Pls talk to a speech therapist and work on giving him an AAC as an expressive language option. Simultaneously work on language Understanding too. The goal is expressing his thoughts even if not through speech, it could be through text.

And at school other than teacher a helping Aunty is there with him to make him sit
He is restless can’t sit for a long time
But now in school they said sitting tolerance has increased

Hi pallavi. I don't know if i understand ur question. Sorry. But yes if he is not speaking, pls give speech therapy. Behaviour Therapy is not needed. OT will help too. He will improve if u go regularly and practice the activities at home too.
