- Hello,
In this video I will be overviewing the Tina 2 3d printer, which is one of the most affordable options that could be found on amazon. In the video, we are going to unbox it, set it all up and go over its main features. We also are going to print out a range of different 3d models to see what this printer is capable of and what quality of printing does it provide.
If you like this video, please make sure to subscribe and activate the bell to be aware of new video coming out on my channel!

Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I was so impressed by the quality of the models. I was also delighted with the content and for showing the printer from unboxing through to printing, plus the upside and downsides. Based on your video, I’ve decided I’m getting this model as it’s perfect for my needs and basic skill set. Thank you again and have a great day.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a comprehensive and wonderful comment! Have a great day too.
I just bought two of these used on ebay for $34, can't wait to mess with them.
That's a great price, especially if they are fully working.
@@RightCrafted.VS02 I seen the listing from a youtuber, so a lot of people bought some. I'm only receiving one now but its guaranteed as working so no messing around with getting it to print I suppose. Still not bad for $70
Great, good luck 👍
Have they worked well
@@tree6858 No, I only received one that was supposed to be guaranteed to be working and the nozzle is clogged. I cannot unthread the nozzle currently. The heat block is turning and I cannot grip it with anything. My multitool is too big.
Very good video sir, I got most of the information I needed in a clear and concise manner. The only thing I would say is that I wish you had let us know long the larger models took to print. You told us the ring took 12 minutes but I didn't say how long any of the others took. Other than that, a very helpful video.
Thank you for a great feedback! The larger models took quite longer to print, the spider-man was the longest (somewhat like 6hrs of pure printing time). To a great extent this depends on the size of the model, but also a resolution (layer thickness) can have a significant effect on the printing time (that bust was printed in 0.1mm thickness, so it took longer to print). Other models took less time to print (averaging around 1-2 hours).
That’s pretty interesting video))) I had some kind of an interest in 3d printing, but didn’t know much about it. That printer could be an option to consider, thank you.
Glad you liked the video)
Great review and the machine seems to be quite capable. What app did you use to break down the model into few parts?
Hello, thank you. I have used meshmixer for this, it is quite easy to split a model into few parts in it and then save them as separate files. There are few videos on the UA-cam how to do it. Also to add, I would recommend to change the size of the model (if you need to) before cutting it in parts (when it is complete model), you could do this in the slicer app where you are going to print it (scale section of the app), just after changing the scale export it without slicing it (then it will open with the changed size). And one more tip if you do change the size of the model, then rename it according to it’s scale- for example somemodelname (at 90% scale), that will help with organisation and if you would like to reprint/rescale the model in the future.
Love the dragon I print it all the time
Amazing print quality
I also found it to be quite impressive.
@@RightCrafted.VS02 My friend do you think long term the printing stays good, or do you have to start spending time troubleshooting these machines? That's the only thing holding me back. Thanks
Hello, sorry for a bit delayed response, it isn’t really possible to say how would the printer work in the future. That is something that needs to be tested over time and it may also vary from one printer to another. So far I found that the printing quality of the printer was quite consistent and generally there were no major issues that required any troubleshooting. But something that I could add is that this machine is certainly quite user friendly and easy to start using, as the printer doesn’t require much of the set up (maybe just make sure to adjust the gap between the nozzle ad printing bed- there is a video on their (weefun) youtube channel dedicated to this) and it is quite well calibrated with their custom profile for the Cura and that second software. Generally I would say that it is quite a capable machine and certainly could be considered as a first 3d printer, it’s biggest limitation there would probably be it’s quite small printing area, but in terms of how it performs straight out of the box is quite impressive.
@@RightCrafted.VS02 Wow thanks for your extended response. That sounds pretty good, I think I'll get one of these tomorrow, the size is very good for prototyping 👍👍👍
Glad that you found it useful. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. Good luck with the printer👍
I'm looking to treat myself. Thank you
Good luck with it! Thank you for your comment
i like it bro thx
Thank you
Thanks for the review. Seems as though there is a few different brands on this same printer. What material filament did you use? Could u post a link to what it is u used? Thanks
Thank you for your comment. Yeah, I noticed that too. Apparently, this printer had some kind of profitable design/construction, and several companies picked up the patent for its production. There, you should probably choose over the customer service and supported software. As far as I know the Weefun was quite responsive to their customers in that sense and they had quite easy to use slicing software, but it might worth to research it a bit and go over the ratings if you would like to. In terms of the filament, I was using grey colour PLA filament from Anycubic. I added the links for the filament to the description section under the video (and will also duplicate them in the comment here). It might not be the cheapest option out there but I found it to be quite good quality filament (if you want ta save up a bit on it, then try to check different colour options as sometimes they could be on discount). Hope that helps)

@@RightCrafted.VS02 many thanks 😊
Hello! Great video! I just bought this printer and would be my first one actually. I don't have experience but I want to learn. I got it mainly because I am interested in printing micro action figures, what recommendations would you offer, regarding the best settings, type of filament, etc.? Thank you.
Congratulations) In terms of the printing settings, there are pretty good printing profiles in their slicer. The most important setting in terms of quality would be the line thickness (0.2 the most rough and 0.1 would be the finest for this printer), but the smaller the resolution- the longer is printing time. The most optimal for quality/time is 0.12 wall thickness. Also, pretty important setting is wall count (or number of perimeters as it is also called), the more of these you have- the stronger would be your model (but the printing time is also increasing). I would recommend to have at least 3/4 wall counts for optimal strength of the model. In terms of the filament, this printer is only able to print with PLA as there is no heated bed. Some people have also tried to print with TPU (flexible filament) on this printer. Generally, I would recommend you to watch a set of different videos and familiarise yourself with 3d printing basics (software, printing routine, how to store your filament…). Hope this helps, if you would have more questions then feel free to ask.
@@RightCrafted.VS02 Awesome!!! I really appreciate your help! Will try your recommendations once I get it.
Which filament did you use for these beautiful prints??? Tpu or Pla???
Hi, in all of the cases it was a PLA filament. The white one is a sample PLA filament included with a printer, the grey one is Anycubic PLA filament.
Thanks.
You’re welcome, thank you for your comment.
Hello, thanks for the video, it helped a lot. However I have an issue. When I tried to print the sample, it said it did not work and created large vibrations. On the screen, it said I have to reset. So I turned it off and on and tried to print the sample again however it did not work. I am a very new beginner so please tell me some tips and techniques and I will greatly appreciate it! (Btw I brought the exact same model).
Hello, thank you for your comment! I’m not really sure what it could be, I would highly recommend you to join the manufacturers Facebook users group (link attached)- there you could describe your issue in details and also attach screenshots/video, the community may be able to help you resolve the issue. Alternatively, you could contact the manufacturers support team directly, they should respond quite quickly (contact details also attached). What I could also suggest is going through the user manual/unpacking guide carefully again and making sure to perform correct set up (ensuring that filament is loaded correctly, performing a z-offset adjustment [there is video instruction on the manufacturers youtube channel regarding this] and also to ensure that there is nothing blocking the movements of the printer). Hope that helps)

Nice
thank you
I w ant to buy one for my daughter 15 year old is this a good starting point
This 3d printer should be a pretty good starting point. It is quite easy to set up and use (also quite compact). It does have a limitation with the printing volume, but if your daughter plans to print models within this printing volume range, then you could definitely consider this printer as an option.
@RightCrafted.VS02 thx i was looking at that but then i saw ,ender ,anycubic and other for the same price almost ....lol thx for uick feed back
What size felmeant dose it need 😊
The standard 1.75 mm filament. For 1kg filament spools an external filament holder would be needed.
the entina tina 2 s has a heated bed the weefun branded ones are bad
At the time of recording the video, this model used to be the only one (apart from Wifi add on) that was available for purchase. Most likely it just depends on the region (UK, US or other countries), as there were either Entina, Weedo or Weefun (might also have been some other brands). I think the new Tina 2s model is pretty recent, but Weefun also seems to have it on their website.
@@RightCrafted.VS02 and no it wasn't entina brand has been the first weefun came after weedo and entina it's goes entina weedo and weefun entina branched out to collab with those other companies so basically they are all working the same printer just different technology that gets put into each one entina supplies them with the plastic housing while other companies throw in 3rd party parts I am a sponsor of entina
I’m having trouble hooking this up to Wi-Fi. The software is hard to navigate. Help
Hello, my one doesn’t have Wifi so I’m not sure how to set it up. I would recommend you to have a look at the Weefun youtube channel as they have different video tutorials on their 3d printers: www.youtube.com/@WEEFUN3D Also here is their website link for Tina 2 printer (there is a written guide on how to set up Wifi): www.weefun3d.com/pages/download Lastly, you could try to reach out to other Tina 2 owners through the Facebook group: facebook.com/groups/1055231701776798/discussion/preview Hope that helps =)
why is the build plate in amazon looks different?
Not sure. There have been new models of these printers released, potentially these have different coating on the build plate. The one that is on the video has a yellow sticker on the build plate (which is replaceable) for the prints to stick.
Question can you use bottle filament on this thing
Probably not, as the bottle filament is usually a PET/PETG filament and that requires a heated bed for proper printing, which this 3d printer doesn’t have.
Ok thank you 👍@@RightCrafted.VS02
Can this printer turn photos and drawings into 3d images?
This printer works as any regular fdm 3d printer, as long as you have the 3d model you could print it in PLA filament on this printer. You would probably need to make a 3d model from an image or drawing that you would like to print first and then you could slice it in cura and print. There are several tutorials on UA-cam and internet that show how something like this could be done.
@@RightCrafted.VS02 Thank you very much.
The noise irritates me after a while so now I only print things that only take more than an hour when I am leaving home. I do like it as a beginner printer tho
Does this print silk?
If it is silk PLA filament, then it should do.
@@RightCrafted.VS02 СПАСИБО ВАМ БОЛЬШОЕ!!!
Не за что)
