Moved across the country a year and a half ago on a whim because my sister thought it would be good for me. While I was trying to heal or come to terms with multiple known/unknown complications, mentally and physically, I wasn’t in a good living environment. Even though I was around people I loved, I felt alone because my struggles and my interests were so different and not easy to understand, and I didn’t feel like I was cared about. I was constantly longing for a place to call home again. When I think of home, I think about a place/time with good friendships, a family, less health problems, a place where you don’t feel alone (even when you physically are), and a place you feel safe (even though it wasn’t at times). That’s the home I long for. I may be in a better living environment where I am now, but I’m overworked in my job and it’s affecting my health. I still feel alone, lost, confused about what I really want in life, don’t have health insurance anymore, and I really really miss my family... and after loosing a lot of loved ones in 2020, it feels even harder to be so far away! Anyways, I feel numb/anxious most of the time, and songs like these help me feel again. If anyone has any sad song suggestions about home, like this one, please send them through. Much love 🖤

I was in the military where I've lost a lot of people. I felt lost in a dark place. There is absolutely someone out there for you! I'm here for you.
