Old PROVEN LURES still work for stocked TROUT FISHING

In this fishing session I’ve tested a few lures: new blade baits and old proven spoons for stocked trout fishing. I was not expecting a lot of activity since it was the middle of March and the water was still too cold for trout. The ice on the lake had just melted and it was the second weekend as the lake had open water. Therefore, I did not expect a lot of activity on top water from brown and rainbow trout. I started fishing with a blade bait - Berkley Rattling Powerblade 4.5cm 10g, an effective and easy to fish vibration bait. Tried a few colors of that and fished both on the top water and deep. Not having any bites, I changed to an old proven Savage Gear Seeker ISP 68mm 12g in green silver color and it triggered a bite from a trout immediately.
My gear:
- Rod Savage Gear Parabellum CCS 9'2" 10-30 g.
- Reel Savage Gear SG2 4000FD.
