Eddie Vedder will always be one of the greatest singers ever.He and Chris Cornell,.. (And Freddy Mercury, who originally did this song, always and forever)
I checked the lyrics of the song, a beautiful and intelligent song-music! Thank you, QUEEN, Freddie Mercury...Thank you Eddie Vedder and Ben Harper, too. Cheers to all.
I'm a bit spoiled. I was just a kid when the Beatles kicked the door down. Vedder's lyrics aren't as deep as some, but I agree he is the best of the best of the last 20 years. I love his ukulele album and especially "Without You". Peace Babylon.
Eddie , brilliant in everything he does... Ben Harpy .. Never heard of him and never want to hear him again .. He's like one of those freaks on American idol
i don't think this normally applies to these two singers, but in this video i think vedder sounds kinda like bowie when he sings low, and harper sounds kinda like bowie when he sings high. they sound cool together; good emulation of the record with some great additions from their collective creative minds. RIP Freddie Mercury
Ben Harper got the harder task to cover Freddie Mercury while Eddie Vedder got the easier one to cover David Bowie. Those critics to Ben Harper's performance aren´t fair at all. Even though, it was a great cover from both, almost close to the original.
Ben Harper does a pretty good job trying to cover the Freddie Mercury vocals. But you have to remember how much a fucking great singer he was. Very difficult.
@kabbyatt HORRIBLE hey? i'd like to see what you call special then? Not hating at all, your opinion is yours but i have seen this live and it is AWESOME!!!!
Eddie carries the role of Bowie perfectly but sorry Ben Harper (don't know you), you don't cover Mercury quite as well. Overall though, an enjoyable cover to listen to and glad that this great tune has another life and doesn't fade off into obscurity.
The Freddie Mercury cover is obviously hard, probably too hard for most vocalists because Freddie could cover so much vocal ground. Even Annie Lennox couldn't do an admirable job. The Foo Fighters do a good cover, a combo of sharing. I like Eddie Vedder in this cover, but I'm afraid that while Ben Harper does a good try, it's not quite there. For an interesting take, listen to Jazzapella's version of Under Pressure...that is if you love the song and not just the musicians. cheers.
Eddie Vedder will always be one of the greatest singers ever.He and Chris Cornell,..
(And Freddy Mercury, who originally did this song, always and forever)
Terrific version. Eddie Vedder is the Voice of God.
That was fucking beautiful.
Everything Vedder and Harper do together is pure gold.
That was amazing it brought tears to my eyes remembering Freddie Mercury, and David Bowie. 2 of my favorite artists 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
True me too
I think Freddie would have enjoyed singing this song with Eddie. I would have really enjoyed hearing those two together.
Freddie and Eddie would make this epic.
1000 Mal besser als das Original!!!
Zum Glück durfte ich Ben und Eddie mit eben diesem Lied schon live erleben (2010 in Berlin). Einfach gigantisch!!!
I was front row for this gig, best night of my life!
I was there!! best concert ever!
Where maybe England
I checked the lyrics of the song, a beautiful and intelligent song-music! Thank you, QUEEN, Freddie Mercury...Thank you Eddie Vedder and Ben Harper, too. Cheers to all.
AMAZING cover of one of the all time best songs. vedder & harper complimented each other well. i really enjoyed this.
what a day that was.Harper did an awesome set and pearl jam made my year.
God damn Eddie can sing the shit out of this song. As for Ben, all I have to say is God damn, Eddie can sing the shit out of this song.
Its not about needing to sing with someone. But who ever is singing, knows how much fun it is to sing together- with whoever :-)
Two great artists on the same stage! Great tune and cover.
I love this, and though my love for Eddie is unmatched, I enjoy what Ben brings to the table.
While I'm not a huge fan of covers, this is one of the best I've ever heard.
Wow , nice to know there still are good people as you out there.. :)
Love been on this concert!! Awesome duet...
I was there. Amazing.
Superb!
They played this in Auckland '09, i was there. It was Innsaaanne

Une grande chanson, composée par un grand groupe et si bien reprise par 2 grands gars...

Covers like this make you respect Mercury's voice even more
Ben harper know his boundaries,i like that.

I was there too! :)
I WOZ THERE! ;-) if only I could remember being there :-s
Can't say I'm a fan of Harper or his sound but I commend his pursuit of music. Eddie Vedder.... well, that's an entirely different story.
Great cover of a Vanilla Ice classic
Incrível! Amazing!
this is rock!!
I'm a bit spoiled. I was just a kid when the Beatles kicked the door down. Vedder's lyrics aren't as deep as some, but I agree he is the best of the best of the last 20 years. I love his ukulele album and especially "Without You". Peace Babylon.
saw them play this together in Nijmegen. So amazing.
Saw them do this in San Diego
this is the business!
Best time
I await your cover version of this, since it's seemingly so easy.
i was thereeeeeeeeee
❤🙏❤️
Nice tribute...at least that is what I call it when an artist appreciates another artist. Others call it a "cover" ;)
I'm so proud to see my brazilian flag over there !
I hate when people say covers aren't like the original. No shit. It's not supposed to be.
wow
como a gente diz por aqui trilegal meu!!!
Łyzka się kręci 🥲
Can't believe they're both gone now
Eddie and Ben is still very much alive ;)
dude very funny... you know who I meant... nice try
rip david bowie & freddie mercury
yep
quem viu a bandeira do Brazil representando !!!
Eddie , brilliant in everything he does... Ben Harpy .. Never heard of him and never want to hear him again .. He's like one of those freaks on American idol
You try singing Freddie’s part, practically no one can sing as good as Freddie, so give him a break.
as a human being people wil die 1day but musik neva die..........
Ha ha!!!.....hello to the only man in the world who thinks Eddie Vedder is limited....obviously you've never been to a show.
David to Eddie: 👍🏻

cool devo shirt
Que foda!
os dois representaram o fred muito bem foram demais

+Andre Gomes You are correct, but I bet Eddie could have knocked Freddie's part out of the park
+Andre Gomes yeah cos Bowie had such a garbage voice.
+Iain Muir I didn't write that Bowie had a garbage voice, but Mercury's voice is harder to cover properly.
+Andre Gomes your right
Andre Gomes they are covering the song, not the voices. People didn't like his interpretation I bet
This just give an idea on how hard it is to sing freddie's songs 😉
badadada
Freddie would be glad
this is good......but there can be only one
@GSMulder BRASILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!
\o/
I was there right in the front! nearly crushed to death! good times tho.
fools - this is the classic song by Queen NOT Vanilla Ice!!!!
He did so good that shit has to be super intimidating that is alot of heads in that crowd - i know i cant sing under pressure ;-)
Eddie should have done it alone. Agreed.
Ben Harper does a pretty good job trying to cover the Freddie Mercury vocals. But you have to remember how much a fucking great singer he was. Very difficult.
At 0:59 a brazilian flag appears!! And than again at 3:04!! Wish I was there too!!
Kind of a high-end karaoke performance
NO ONE can sing a Freddy Mercury song like the man himself, he was a trained opera singer, Ben Harper, dont fool yourself
Did Harper even hear the original before?
@andre010492 Sempre tem uma bandeira nossa!!! :-)
Warning: This video contains too much BAD ASS, please proceed with caution.
@robertk2007 Give them some respect. Vedder and Harper are paying tribute to a great tune. I'd like to see u do better.
Incredible unique artists...love it
James Biederman right on
@kabbyatt HORRIBLE hey? i'd like to see what you call special then? Not hating at all, your opinion is yours but i have seen this live and it is AWESOME!!!!
@danielgsmith33 I wanna know it also!!! Oh my god!!!!
Vedder didn't murder this song as brutally as I thought he would. Way to go Eddie, keep that yarling in check :)
cancer, cancer everywhere
@Tom6093 ok, i will do some karoke so u can see me do better, lol.
Eddie carries the role of Bowie perfectly but sorry Ben Harper (don't know you), you don't cover Mercury quite as well. Overall though, an enjoyable cover to listen to and glad that this great tune has another life and doesn't fade off into obscurity.
both songs were composed by david bowie under pressure and ice ice baby jajaja i think it is funny by the way bowie is a master
Guys stop trashing Harper! Eddie AND Ben are amazing BOTH.
Quem viu a bandeira do Brasil, curte.
Freddy died again with this shit!!!
No
