Level-D simulations released a 767 for msfs 2004, probably 15 years ago and that thing alone had the systems fidelity and flight model 10 times better that this nonsense.
You took one for the team . It's a shame though as Captain Sim in previous sims was very detailed and good . I used to love the 727 but sadly even if CS did it for msfs 2020 , it would probably be half assed attempt .

fun fact, I did a deep dive and found out the model used here for the 767 (exterior) is what was used for the p3d version which was made after they made the 764 model which was before the 764 release, which also they took the 764 and cut it up to make the 763 as the exterior model cockpit for p3d was of the 764, and they used the 764 GE engine model later on which is significantly smaller than the 763 GE model. As well as I made complaints about the landing gear and made comments in their forum model section and explained how it was very similar to the 764 type gear and other people made similar comments and they stated it would cost thousands to model it correctly and afterwards the page was hidden. ( I could not see the hyperlink to the page but could access it from history and still make comments about the modeling ) then after a few days the whole page was removed from their entire site and I could not access it anymore. Tested it and this 3D model is OUTSTANDING it is so top-notch that is´s absolute incredible. There is even a fully 3D low-pressure turbine inside the engine core exhaust, the gear wells and the gear itself is just wow (the BEST out there!), this model is lovely absolutely gorgeous, and it beats the allmighty Fenix. Because the Fenix has for example not this amount of detail inside the engine nacelles when doing a virtual walkaround to look inside the engines. The cockpit looks beautyful wow this is absolutely on par with the Fenix cockpit, even the fire extinguisher has the complicated looking buckles of the straps fully modelled 3D. This airplane is beyond incredible, and I guess it would be worth bying and firing up the Prepar3D simulator just for this airplane alone (it probably has full systems fidelity in P3D, surely not like what´s the Hotstart Challenger in XP11 delivers, but still study-level)! In the passenger cabin only this model and the Fenix use high-polygon passenger windows, the seats look a bit blurry on some areas but are also high-polygon with no angular areas. This airplane is so good that it is absolute incredible, and better than anything that has been released so far in FS2020. The only detail that annoys me is that the low-pressure turbine in the turbine exhaust is not animated and not rotating. The cardan shaft that is driving the flaps mechanics for moving the flaps is not rotating but static, the PMDG 737 has the cardan shaft animated and rotating while the flaps move. The side windows can be opened and there are no flaws in the animation (like having the window moving out of the window frame for a slight bit like in the Fenix or the new Flight Sim studios Embraer 175.) Everything is PERFEFT, everything but.......... ...now the part that absolutely disgusts me because it is such a waste of potential and degrades the best ultra-high-detailed 3D model of an aircraft to nothing but some arcade-flyer toyplane trash to fly under bridges with a controller or do some barrel-rolls instead of having intense study-level nightly rain flights with full system depth simulated: The first thing you will notice are Boeing 747 default gauges on all screens. No other Boeing but the Jumbo Jet uses bars as engine indicators, that´s why seeing vertical bars for N1 etc. looks so incredible wrong . And the PFD in a real 767 looks completely different too. The second thing you will notice is that almost nothing can be clicked, almost all switches and knobs are duds and not simulated, with no clickpoints. The system depth feels kinda like sitting in a default Cessna 152. This is such a waste of the so far BEST 3D model inside and outside of an airplane that it is almost blasphemy. Only the FlyByWire team doing a year of modding work, or buying good old P3D and buying the ORIGINAL study-level Captain Sim instead of these Arcade Captain Scam releases we get here for over a year now, will save this plane... If you want to enjoy the REAL Captain Sim quality and not the downgraded arcade toy-plane version with zero functionality - unfortunately you need to install P3D ;)

What I hate about captain-scam is not the missing system depth in the cockpit. It is the fact they even copied the sounds and the flight behaviour/performance from default planes and this for a price of 20+$ is just a big mess.. They used to be good in fs9/fsx times.. but I think this is over.
You want winglets? That will be another $10. That’s the CS business model. By the time you add up all the crap they charge you for, you could have bought a decent add-on, like the Fenix or PMDG offerings.

What it is no longer using the four default engines EICAS from the default 747? I see hope for a new study-level aircraft there - but only if the FlyByWire or Salty team takes over :D The 3D cockpit looks very good so "wasted potential" is an understatement here...
The 777 has much more optimization than this, but at least they cared to actually model the cockpit and not use the standard 777 one from their other aircraft.

Lets just put it out front.....Captain Sim is for the new, young flight simmers that aren't interested in complexity and want to feel like they're flying something. The problem arose because they were known for far more depth on prior platforms, but handled their company's downgrade poorly leaving people with unadjusted expectations angry.
Normally I agree it seems like a cash grab, especially the livery packs. Capt Sim though is a Ukrainian Developer, I can't imagine the pressure and hardships they're under! I can only assume they are doing what they think they need to survive, so in this case I'm giving them a pass. I bought the 777-300ER and 200ER, and while itself could have been much better, the free Salty Compatibility mod really make the plane very enjoyable to fly! Unfortunately due to health reasons (Stroke) I'm no longer able to sim (atleast for now), so I haven't had the chance to try the 767!

The aircraft is stunning but it shows on the fmc that it’s a 747 absolutely not!! Your trying to tell me the 767-747 is about the same! Captain sim needs to get it together and no liveries, no deal for now. PMDG can just make these aircraft’s at least the liveries are free with them.
Even with that price 30$, it is a complete joke. In comparison to the FF767 - which you can get for just 70$ it is a terrific joke. The PFD, ND are nowhere similar to the 767 ones, or even the upgraded avionics ones. Doing copy and paste on a PFD is unacceptable, you look at it the whole time. The FMC saying 747 on ident was the end for me. Terrific product.

well fbw did not have to work on much 3d textures, because asobo made it. Making a plane is harder than you think
