5 Important Facts About Henlia Handmade:
1) Wool is sourced and spun in Wyoming.
It is important to me to support as many small, U.S. businesses as I can. From the dyes I use to the packaging, all my supplies are purchased from companies here in the USA.
2) Dyed naturally.
This means I only use natural dyes. These are dyes that are created from flowers, roots, bark & insects. From the earth back to the earth. Be sure to treat them kindly =)
3) Non-superwash.
It is important to me to only use the most natural products possible and that includes the yarn. This yarn is soft and doesn’t have the slippery feeling you get when you work with superwash wool. Hand wash only.
4) Packaging is eco-friendly.
I use the most earth-friendly packaging I can find. It’s made from 100% recycled materials (or I reuse boxes I have from my home). The yarn wrap labels are plantable wildflower seed paper so you can grow even more beauty from your yarn.
5) $2 is donated for every skein purchased.
Currently, I’m donating $1 to the local farm animal rescue, Harmony Farm Sanctuary, and $1 to onetreeplanted.org. $1 plants a tree wherever it’s most needed for reforesting.
