- The president of the Denver City Council is demanding answers from Denver Health after a Denver7 investigation raised questions about the culture inside the hospital’s paramedics division.
Denver Health’s CEO should step down. Blood is on her hands for letting people die by not getting them the care they deserve in a timely manner.
I will never visit Denver.

I was treated so horrible at DH. I won't even go on the block. I was kicked out in 2011 no health insurance. Money. Money. Money
Denver Health use to be respected. I was born there when it was called Denver General.
Those of us in EMS still call it DG.
This is true I live in denver. My wife and children were in an accident last year. My children are traumatized from the police and staff. My wife wasn't given water for hours and passed out. Overall all I did was hear that my wife's requests were not validated and she is a heart failure patient. They almost killed my wife. We will never allow this to happen again I have a lawyer on retainer because of this experience. Do not trust paramedics or police in aurora or denver. Arapaho county is pretty chill tho. Thanks for doing your job Arapaho county sheriff
Let me tell you that when I was oriented at Denver Health I was told to sedate and intubate a homeless person sleeping on a park bench to get practice at airway management No paperwork or record that this ever occurred I was very ashamed and eventually was left go because I questioned this practice

Always go to the university hospitals no matter which state you are living in.
Its about insurance,color of skin,it's been going on for years!!
If a doctor tells me they were transferred from this hospital. I will not trust that doctor.

That’s a complete lie. It’s against federal and state laws to deny anyone emergency care, including based on socioeconomic status.
so they are worried about the paycheck and image, like the cops and schools. image and paycheck over hurt and injured

Why? Because Denver Health EMS has leadership with a we-are-bigger-better-than-you attitude. The MD in charge of DH EMS doesn’t listen to anyone from outside. He knows better than all of us. He and his team are the heroes; we are the suckers. They’ve expanded, got all the suburbs, like Englewood, paying into their system and their salaries are up, as is their control and power.
They don’t even have to answer to the State. CDPHE EMS oversight is effectively zero. I ran a clinic, had to deal with their egos and they were the worst. Private companies, like Mile High or Action Care, were much safer, much better team players. The providers at DH are fine, but DH EMS is the absolute worst.
Criminals, the majority at least.
I'm sure that providing piles and piles of free healthcare to the homeless and illegals has no effect on this situation at all.

I was flung 75 feet from a car that rolled 2,500 feet they placed my right arm in the wrong spot so it won't fully extend even when you try to get their physical therapy they'll send you all over the place in the hospital no organization

Denver health is one of the best if not the best trauma centers in the nation …doctors come from all over the US as well as from Canada to do ER/Trauma residencies there. Also, there various levels of code 10 runs…its not black and white like some news reporter or council person would think….
