If I get your question, you mean how you can use it to sew buttonhole?
Also I don't have the manual presently

I have the same machine but I try to make it work and the pedal does not work, the light comes on, what could be happening?

It could be the foot pedal.. try disassemble the pedal, check for any loose wires
