Ukrainian National Anthem - Modern long version | Національний Гімн України - сучасна довга версія

Original lyrics for the later-to-be Anthem of Ukraine were written by Pavlo Chubynsky in 1862. Music by Mykhailo Verbytsky who wrote it next year in 1863. Original lyrics mention a number of Ukrainian historical Hetmans and speaks unfavourably about moscow rule.
Ukraine adopted the music as the official Anthem of Ukraine in 1992. The lyrics, however, have been partially rewritten and in 2003 Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the first verse of the song as the official anthem.

As an American Citizen, ik how it felt being in a country that was attacked, Im so beyond sorry and sad that Ukraine is going through this time of violence and unrest. I hope it will end soon, and I hope that all will be okay once it does end. The first line is translated wrongly. There is: "The glory and will of Ukraine has not yet perished" It should be " The Ukraine has not perished, so its glory and will. The text shown in video comes from later version of the anthem. The difference is essential, as in original version, the first words "Ще не вмерла Україна" (not "Україні)
are semantically identical as the оriginal Polish anthem's invocation "Jeszcze Polska nie umarła"

@@ukrainianpatrioticsongswit2552 Ви не переклали його, ви просто дали англійський переклад тексту нової версії, в той час як на відео ви чуєте стару версію, ту, що починається як польський гімн: "Jeszcze Polska nie zginẹła - Ще не вмерла Україна (і сила і воля)". У новій версії ми чуємо "Ще не вмерла України (і сила і воля)". Різниця досить велика, щоб хтось вважав її важливою.
