As her mother I can tell everyone, she has done a lot in her life. She has a lot of people who care about her and ask about her, have been concerned about her on this adventure by herself. Family, friends, people who know her through me that have kept up with her and prayed for her. Everyone that knows her is aware of how intelligent she is and capable she is. She can accomplish anything she puts her mind to. She had a goal to be valedictorian in high school since she asked what is was in 4th grade and said she wanted to do that. We really did not know if she was just saying something as a kid. she was top of her class all through high school and accomplished that goal. That was the proudest moment for her family as she gave her speech at graduation. The best speech I have ever heard at graduation and also other people said the same thing. She wanted to go to Berry college she graduated with honors there. She has had a lot of adventures, more things than I have ever done. I have to admit, I did not tell her this, but when we took her to start the trail, I figured a month or so she would be ready to come back. It was not because I did not believe she could do it, but I figured that would be enough. I did not want her to stay gone that long, I feared for her safety. I was anxious when we left her there that day and I thought I cannot deal with this for months. I prayed about it and God gave me peace and I had other people who have prayed. It has been an adventure for us too, following her, keeping up with her in the AT book she left here. I know she will figure things out if she sticks with God. I have heard it said that if you take the wrong turn God will always bring you back the right way. God has a plan for her and it may take a while but it is His timing and not ours. We can do through a lot to get to the right place
The day after you came through Unionville I stood on the AT and prayed for you. Since I didn’t know if you were north or south at that point, I’m glad I prayed both ways. I’ve lived here three years and never went to Wits End but now I will. PS Pochuck is where my supposed friend left me on trail when I was having a tough time. Haven’t hiked with him after that because I wisely ended our relationship. 😊 The deer carcass may have been in NY. Where you walked on this day was actually both NY and NJ.
You just popped up in my recommended videos...maybe because you were in my town! Sorry we didn't deliver a bear, but the season recently ended so the population is a bit lower and they are likely extra skiddish. But glad you saw a fox, we have quite a few along with a ton of coyotes. Hope you enjoy Jersey!
I realize you've finished by the time I write this, so Congratulations. You have 50 miles more of videos to record. and then you'll be Delaware Water Gap where I hiked a few weeks ago. Your positive attitude and goofy smile make your videos so enjoyable.
Well, no bears yet, but you had a first in seeing a fox. Foxes are very skittish creatures where it comes to humans and I'd have been very surprised if you had gotten either a picture or recorded video of it because if you see one they don't usually stick around long enough to hardly even realize you've just seen a fox. At least that has been my experience with them. I have spent a lot of time in the woods, and I can imagine that I could probably count the number of times I have seen a fox on my fingers. Not to say they haven't seen me and chose not to let their presence be known. All-in-all, a pretty cruisy trail on a day you wanted to make miles. For somebody like me who is currently a day-hiker 16 miles is a pretty good day of hiking. Last night I was watching a video by a woman hiker in New Hampshire, she was talking about a mostly "untalked about" danger while hiking. It was slipping and falling on fallen leaves and how slick they can be and I immediately thought of you. As you were walking, I could see that fall has really taken full hold. Other than brown and maybe a few evergreens of some sort, there's very little color other than brown left. Obviously, you made a strong finish to your hike, way to go, Mosey!
I see foxes all the time in RI. I've seen a coyote and a bobcat in my yard plus a shit ton of deer. there are way too many deer have almost hit a few myself. Big problem and the coyote are not putting a dent in it
Your doing awesome mosy any advise for a 2025er??😁your probably finished or close enough for a whoo ho Great job on your thru hike congratulations 🎊🍾 and if not there we’re rooting for you 🤙!!!
everyone that makes these videos talk directly into the camera, because they are talking to people. she does not miss wildlife she might not get them on video because they can get away fast

Glad you had a good meal and a nice hike!
Wits End is great! Agreed, owner gave me a slice of Pumpkin cheesecake that was divine
Happy you saw a fox and enjoyed great food and company. 😊❤

Flat is good.
IF YOU KEEP CAMERA ON TRAIL AND OFF YE FACE YOU WOULDNT MISS WILDLIFE!
She's fine. She doesn't film non-stop anyway. That would take away from the enjoyment of her hike and be too much footage for her to edit.

With all those boardwalks, you probably could have set a personal record for distance! That looks like the smoothest section of trail!
