- Hey out there Survivors & Outlaws. Hope yer all doing well. This is one I am very, VERY excited to share with you all - even though I'm kinda cringing at how nervous I am during this interview. They say don't meet yer heroes - and they're absolutely wrong. I got the chance to sit down and have #BanterForTheAges with the one and only #RogerClark AKA #ArthurMorgan, the lead of #RockstarGames critical and commercial darling #reddeadredemption2
In this interview we talk about Rogers humble beginnings recording the newspaper with his dad in Sligo for the visually impaired, to his first days as the lead, on the set of one of the top 10 most successful video games of all time. We discuss his relationships with the characters and actors who played some of Arthurs closest friends and foes: Rob Wiethoff [John Marston], Ben Byron Davis [Dutch Van Der Linde], Peter Blomquist [Micah Bell] and Mick Mellamphy [Sean Maguire].
I very rarely get this nervous, but I have such a huge respect and admiration for Roger that it was hard not to be. However, his casual charm and witty banter definitely put me at ease and made me feel comfortable throughout this #OutlawSession.

This wasn't an interview Paddy - this was an awesome, wholesome and flowing conversation between two media enthusiasts. Loved every second of it. Would be super if you by some miracle could get Peter on as well, but he doesn't do many of these from what I've seen. I'm gonna go rewatch the rest of your interviews as well now.
Oh my god. Thank you so much wheeljack. That means the world to hear. Some people have indicated that I interrupt my guests too much so hearing that you enjoyed the flow means the world to me. I would love to speak to Peter but on top of not doing many interviews, I think he said on Instagram he has some health concerns at the moment. If the opportunity ever arises I will be more than prepared and ready to have him on. Also, thank you for checking out the other interviews. That means the world mate.

What a treat to check youtube and see you did a Roger Clarke interview. Not sure how it took me 7 days to notice. I could have sworn you had already interviewed Roger. I guess it was another long interview I saw. He is always entertaining and engaging. And such a warm hearted person. He just seems like someone you could easily chill with for an hour or so. I love Rob Weidhoff but he has such high energy it would be entertaining and exhausting, LOL. I love his bits on IG. He is a truly jolly soul. Anyway, i finally got around to looking up Roger's audiobook catalog snd discovered he narrated a Tana French novel I haven't read. She's a great Irish writer who does really interesting police novels. They don't read like police novels. If you haven't, you should check her out. But I also so he narrated to history books in two of my favorite history subjects--WWI and Ireland. Really looking forward to doing some knitting when it gets cooler and chilling out to Roger's great voice.

Ha ha ha, it's truly comical right. Theres some moments that I absolutely love like the Sonic the Hedgehog bit and the Spaceballs Nespresso machine. Definitely one of my most memorable interviews, in spit of how nervous I was :)
Absolutely brilliant Paddy, long time coming and cherry on top for this epic Outlaw playlist. Interview had me bursting laughing that you just don't get from other high profile interviews, great job man! And as usual, everyone of the interviews gets me itching to play through RDR again. The passion for #Colm was unreal and also I really want a Lion bar now :)

Roger Clark if you happen to read this comment ever I would soooo love to meet you. There is a comic con in Jackson Ms and they've never had anyone that I wanna see, so I have never taken time to go to one. I bet if you show up it would be the busiest it's ever been!
I remember clinching on to the hope that Rockstar chose to let you play as John or Dutch or maybe even Bill or Javier and then I beat it and I felt I had lost brother or a part of myself afterwards it was so hard to lose Arthur and I learned my lesson newer judge something or wish for something else before you have tried it and given it a fair chance to prove itself no matter what
Fabulous interview! Currently listening to ‘Cold as Hell’ which is very enjoyable. Tbh, I could probably narrate every line in rdr2 without a script so it’s great hearing Roger say something I’ve not heard before. I would suggest listening to ‘Dead acre’ first (it’s the prologue). Hello. Why theres not a RDR2 Online Survival Mode just like in GTA5?
because Rockstar doesn't care about red dead online. they can't monetize flying horses that shoot missles

Paddy, I have a question for the next motion capture actor for red dead you have on. Can you ask them whether or not Davey or mac callender, or Jenny, every had people to voice and capture them.? We don't know much about those characters. It may hint to rdr3. I think Jenny could possibly be a good protagonist for rdr3

Oh man I’m on my second play through after a similar 200 hour first play through back on launch, I was heartbroken and couldn’t face playing the story again for a long time. I spent so long online when it was still a beta too just fishing and hunting. I love this game thanks for this conversation Roger is a gentleman
Every time Roger Clark mentions the fact, that he was influenced by Mifune Toshiro i get chills. Mifune is hands down one of the best actors in motion picture history. If you don't know him, watch any Kurosawa movie with him, not only the samurai movies. His range was beyond belief. My favourite actor, by far. Thanks Mr. Clark!
