A year ago I said this man's day is coming soon. He took his game to unbeatable levels when they left him out of the prem last season. Outstanding player and role model.
Luke Humphries has been so incredibly consistent in the last 18 months or so, throughly deserved. I love watching this fabulously high standard of play. Just brilliant.
I wanted Littler to win last night but the more I watched Humphries, the more respect I gained for him. He was an absolute warrior and metronomic with his darts. Watching interviews of him now only further increases the respect I have for him. A fantastic, fantastic player but, more importantly, a humble person who gives credit to his family and everyone else involved on his darts journey, and also just a really nice guy.
You’ve got to hand it to him. Has worked incredibly hard to overcome anxiety and weight issues and to bring his game on to where it is now. Incredible run of form over the last few months. Will be interesting to see how far he can go. Speaks very well. A great advert for the sport
You don’t overcome anxiety you learn to reduce it but not completely eliminate it, he’s an inspiration to people that suffer with it fairly play to him.
Always love the day after videos that do the round, feel it's sunk in a bit more as they have had a chance to settle down possibly. Nonetheless well done to Luke Humphries on what he's achieved the last 6 months, put the effort in mentally, physically and on the board, it's paid off in a big way.
You dont lose quality and talent like humphries has got. He will be at the pinnacle of darts for the next 10 years plus he will win the world championship another 2 times atleast i believe the guys a solid player he wacks trebles in for fun. Fully deserves it

Yes, I saw the camera wandering almost off screen a few times and was like "wtf??" 😂 Amazing player and a deserving champion - a lot of players would've wilted to Littler last night, especially after being 4-2 down and having the crowd against them, but he showed unbelievable resolve and character - and produced some stellar darts.
Wanted Littler to win but hey hats off to Luke Humphries he did a great comeback and handled the pressure better future of darts is going to be good with these both.

He should say he doesn't like his chances, and his opponents are way better (full well knowing it's bullshit). This applies pressure to your opponent rather than instilling drive.
