In this episode of What’s Your Ism, host Sudipto Mondal speaks to Ambedkarite author Shalin Maria Lawrence, and sociologist-professor Khalid Aniz Ansari about the intersection of caste identities, anti-caste discourse, and affirmative actions for the oppressed castes in minority religions.
Ansari says, “If you’re talking about democratic politics, four or five castes cannot be allowed to dominate any category.”
Lawrence recounts lived experiences of discrimination in church, and also asks, “If Periyar was an intellectual, and he used to talk about reformation, he talked about cutting off uteruses, why didn’t he cut his caste ties?”

Caste system is not originated from Hinduism but it is absorbed in Hinduism. There is enough proof of social class even pre Hindu India
Caste happen only in India 🇮🇳 because millennium civilization system based but outside India there is no caste system anymore among Hindus. British continued this devide and rule policy till independence and escaping to another religion is not the solutions. Hindus now are united in India and stop looking are caste systems anymore and eventually will go off one day 😀

I want to factually correct Asif Ansari. Caste exists in all religions in India. First of all denial of the truth won't solve any problem. Stop denying that casteism exists in Religions other than Hinduism.
