- Nationwide, some United Methodist churches are disaffiliating because they don’t believe in same-sex marriage or that a pastor can be a part of the LGBTQ+ community.
One local pastor in St. Petersburg explained why his church isn't disaffiliating.
"Allendale is a United Methodist Church that is committed to doing the work of antiracism, loving and affirming LGBTQ+ people, standing with those being marginalized or oppressed," Rev. Andy Oliver explained.
That’s why Oliver, a pastor at Allendale United Methodist Church, proudly performs same-sex marriages.

Not quite sure l understand what you said but, Jesus didn't come here to change the old Testament. He came here to teach Gods word and so we could live through him. That's why he is called "THE WORD"
And when he died and went to hell he was SINLESS. But, he took on OUR sin and spent 3 days in hell so WE would be SAVED..

The Ten Commandments, still apply. Jesus never stated that anything had changed. He never said homosexuality was permitted or changed.

the only thing no longer valid from the old testament is a blood sacrifice for sin repentance as Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice and his blood covers all of our sins
you can not twist the bible up and take things out of context to suit your feelings on the matter and expect others that know the truth to accept your version of things
trying to change the word of God to accommodate your sin and encouraging others to fall from grace is the ultimate unforgivable blasphemy

Sodom and Gomorrah were two legendary biblical cities destroyed by God for their wickedness. Their story parallels the Genesis flood narrative in its theme of God's anger provoked by man's sin

Marriage is between a man and a woman seyeth the Lord. All other interpretation is heresy. They are correct in walking away from doctrine that supports and encourages sin. It is evil.

Our Creator has said in the Old and New Testament this is an abomination. I believe the book of Roman's speaks about HIS creation choosing to believe a lie rather than the truth that He turned them over to a reprobate mind! This is where we are....mankind trying to rewrite God's word to fit their depravity 😢. It didn't work in the days of Noah, Sodom and Gomorrah, and it won't work now! His word states He is God and He changes not! We have a choice that He "freely" gives us, "Choose life or choose death!" He loves us enough to let us make that decision! 🕊🕊🕊
We are all in agreement that all people need to be shown the Love of Christ. The real disagreement is whether we want to accept teaching and leadership from any one that is anything but a traditional heterosexual, so they can interpret the meaning of the Bible to fit their beliefs.
Whose to teach the love of God ? One chosen by God. Paul said I’m the chief sinner, we learn much from his writings in the Bible.

He was not living under any illusion that his sin wasn't sin. He would never say love is love.

There's civil or mans' laws where gay marriage is accepted and God's laws where a man marries a woman and they are fruitful and multiply. We love the sinner but not the sin. Is polygamy a sin?

All you have to do is look at the physical anatomy of a man and woman to know that is how irs supposed to be. They fit together.

The Word also said concerning the topic of " love", that many LOVE sinning.
