I can't tell if I like the look of this game or if it's just your infectious enthusiasm selling it.
I have this problem with every video Becca has made about board games. I'm pretty sure most of the time it's her enthusiasm.

I think my love of off-the-shoulder dresses comes from Jasmine, so perhaps that's why I'm wondering if that was Becca's inspo for wearing this dress for a Disney game that has Aladdin in it.

love this game - I picked it up at Gen Con and got the new expansion as well available there. really excited to see where this goes and all the combos with the broad IP.
Is this my chance to kill either Pluto or Goofy in a one-on-one death match? Because I don’t think those two should both exist in the same universe.

I have to wonder how many cards retrieve cards from the discard. The RftG mechanic would be more interesting if there was a reshuffle rather than an instant game over. Would make choosing which cards to remove more impactful.
I'm already thinking house rules:
1) Play to 30 not 20
2) When you run out of cards, your opponent scores 5 points and you reshuffle
3) After each full turn, the point value for controlling the golden hexes increases by one
And I wonder if the first (of hopefully many) expansion (Moana, Stitch, and Davy Jones) adds any additional rules or status effects.
As the game’s designer, I can confirm, Turning the Tide introduces two new mechanics (one of which will be a regular feature of future expansion designs) and a new status effect.
Looking forward to seeing it played, looks interesting
