I did this with my alpha from this video. I also made the center push a nose toggle so can toggle it to mouse operation and then toggle back to regular axis. Then I used axis to button so I can map either axis commands or button commands to each direction. Works like a charm. Thank you for these videos. I have a pretty complex mapping setup and it’s all done from your videos. I tried to ask you about the mode switch/dual function for the mini stick on the dcs forums but I don’t think u ever seen it but going back and re-watching all your videos, I was able to figure out how to do everything I was trying to do.
Really want to say thank you for your videos, especially the ones dealing with Virpil. I have been having problems with my DCS controller bindings for my Virpil CM3 getting overwritten by DCS. Should I use JoyPro or Joystick Gremlin to avoid this or will DCS still corrupt the bindings?
I use button press to ketboard press in joystick gremlin, as long as the keybind is defaul in DCS then you are good to go, tho sometimes you have to add your own in DCS (rare)
The Axis on the CM throttle can in most cases be flipped in the options of most sims. For Example DCS world or Star Citizen one can determine the axis being used and in a menu one can select Invert Axis
@@coviper0019 Thank you, I actually inverted the axis in the Virpil configuration software. But now my mouse does'nt work on the analog stick on the throttle. Mouse works ok when Joystick Gremlin and the game are closed.
Just a general question to you... Do you still like using Joystick Gremlin post latest Virpil Firmware update 20220407? Virpil now supports breaking up the CM3 throttle bottons into recognizable groups that Windows can pick up natively....
Yes I still use joystick gremlin , I am not using it for the 32 button split I am using it because it can make profiles etc sooooooooooo much easier with for example DCS
@@HavocCompanyClan So basically just disable 32 button split in VPC software and let joystick gremlin do the magic.. I noticed that every time there is a new VPC firmware update or I physically disconnect Virpil’s from PC I had to remind everything with the 32 button splits due to the way Windows assigned vale’s to the Virpil.
@HavocCompanyClan SOOO just an update on something interesting... I just flashed to latest 20220407 Virpil firmware.. During process it said that previous firmware is NOT compatible so full reset is necessary... I started as if fresh.. I did allow for 32 button split in Virpil firmware for new profile ...Checked VID / PID and only PID changed for throttle. I then just Calibrated / Set customization for switches and saved new profile. To my amazement ( at least in Star Citizen ) all my previous binds imported correctly with no issues. ( maybe I just got lucky ) Seems there may be some continuity with the new firmware. To sum it up. using windows 11 pro NOT using VJOY or Joystick Gremlin. Simply exported all game button configs before firmware update. Flashed with latest Virpil firmware and opted for a fresh start. I will also verify with DCS to see if same works. you never know may be time for a new tutorial... ;) Again.. Immense THANKS for what you do .. Figure that I am just beginning to understand the virpil software better and wanted to share my experience with others.

There is a tick box for each axis to do this usually named "Inversion"
Is there a way to invert the axis movement? The mouse moves up when i push down on the switch
hmmm , maybe try using negative numbers ? -300 and -500 , see if that works ?
