  • Well, this one is the big surprise.
Guess no one will expect me releasing this LOL
This composer is actually friends of Kabalevsky, Khachaturian and Shostakovich, after illegally trespassing the border of Japan-Soviet border. (No diplomatic relations between these 2 countries at that time)
Thus, this piece is actually having huge influence from those Russian masters, especially for the last movement, which is essentially a remake of Prokofiev Symphony No.5....
    Hope you enjoy this masterpiece!
(Probably I will remake one with the recording with the composer himself....)

Japanese composers are definitely one of the least recognized genre in classical music, fortunately I personally did a lot of research on them. Thanks for the upload !

The last Japanese composer was Hisato Osawa, and I remember he had an interesting background.

      XD
I'm not that familiar with them, apart from Takemitsu, Yoshimatsu and this one, Yasushi Akutagawa

@@SisselOnline Btw, recently working on a classical composer called Vanhal, in I really like his flute and Double Bass concerto😯 I heard that he played in a quartet with Haydn, Mozart and Dittersdorf.

      Oooo
Ik Vanhal, since I used to have confused him with Pichl for composer of some solo violin fugues

Always wanted to buy the score, but it costs a fortune. Thanks a lot for this wonderfull symphonie, which is written in deep devotion to the great Prokofjew. Please provide us also with all available scores like Trinita Sinfonica, Ellora Symphonie, the fantastic Allegro ostinato, the Cello Concerto, Marcia in do, the Rhapsody ..

who are the best Japanese composers?

Cannot say who's the best since it's too broad, in terms of classical and modern music

Nowadays it is Takashi Yoshimatsu (born 1953 and still living) with his spectacular six symphonies and his pile of fantastic solo concertos.
His predecessor is indeed Yasushi Akutagawa (see my commentary). But try also Mayuzumi (Mandala Symphonie), Matsumura (1st Symphonie and 1st piano concerto), Yashiro (Symphonie and piano concerto) and find your own way..

Styles of Akio Yashiro and Saburo Mori are too logical. Takashi Niigaki is a lovely composer and piano accompanist, very kind man, but very very shy.
