To play this game, all you need are UNO cards and a friend. Follow these instructions for a fun game for all ages.
Step 1: Deal 7 cards per player; create a Draw pile with remaining cards
Shuffle the deck and deal seven cards, face down, to each player. Stack the remaining cards face down to form a Draw pile.
Step 2: Turn up first card in Draw pile
Turn over the first card in the Draw pile to create a Discard pile.
Step 3: Have the person to your left match the Discard card
Have the person to the dealer's left match some aspect of the Discard pile card -- either the number, color, or symbol. Place this card face up on top of the Discard pile.
Tip
Play a Wild Card anytime. Tell everyone what color you want the next person to match.
Step 4: Draw from the Draw pile if no match is made
Draw one card from the top of the Draw pile if no match can be made with the card on the Discard pile. The drawn card can be played if it matches the Discard pile card.
Step 5: Pass to next player
Pass the play to the next player after a match is made or a card is drawn from the Draw pile. Continue counterclockwise, matching the number, color, or symbol with the Discard pile or drawing from the Draw pile.
Step 6: Shout "Uno!" when you have one card left
Shout "Uno!" when you only have one card remaining in your hand. Play until one person is out of cards.
Tip
Penalize anyone who forgets to shout "Uno!" when they have only one card left by having them draw two cards from the Draw pile.
Step 7: Add values of cards in opponents' hands for the score
Add the values of the cards remaining in everyone else's hands, with number cards counting as face value; Draw Two, Reverse, and Skip cards counting for 20 points; and Wild Cards counting for 50 points.
Tip
Shorten the game by playing only one hand, with the person running out of cards first being the winner.
Step 8: Continue playing until someone reaches 500 points
Start a new game, and continue playing until someone reaches 500 points.

UNO has always been a game that was a staple in our family for the holidays ❤ Fun and simple. We don't ever tally up points at the end though...We just tally up how many game wins each person has.

I planned to teach my parents how to play Uno, but they were busy with top-secret family stuff. I USED to have the SpongeBob edition of this card game until I donated it to charity.
The +4 card can only be played if you don't have another card that could possibly be played. It's in the rule book. The player of the +4 card can also be challenged and that's in the rules as well.
I pretty much play the way you do except if u play a draw 2/4 and the next player has one they can put it down and this continues until one player doesn't have a draw 2/4 and they have to draw the total amount (i.e., Player 1 plays a draw 2, player 2 plays a draw 2, and player 3 plays a draw 2. Player 4 does not have a draw 2 and must draw 6 cards).
Just a tip to make the plays of Uno better: Play it with the Jump-in rule (cut) active, and you will see the game having a new live and being much faster and fun to play with your friends.
The only difference in the game is that when a player plasy one card on the table, any other player that eventually has the exactly same card (ABSOLUTELLY EXACTLY THE SAME CARD) can jump-in and play the card stealing all the turns of others players. This gives a new life for the game because everyone needs to think faster all the time to be smarter to not lose the turn or to take advantage of the jumps.

Yes, take both decks and mix/shuffle them. To win, A person needs to play all their cards until they have one left, if they have one left they shout ‘UNO’ and they play there last card on their next turn to win

We Do This Rule Instead:
Step 1
Instead For Finding a Friend, You can also play with your Family
Step 2:
When Someone Plays a "7" He/She Pick a Player To Swap
If its a "0" Everyone Swap Card Clockwise
Step 3:If Someone Plays A "Wild" if they Don't have a color they want to place,
The Pick a color like Red, Yellow, Blue & Green. A Wild Draw 4+ Means A Next Player Must Challenge The Player Who Place
That Card, The Next Player Must Choose: Accept: The Next Player Pick That Choice And Draw 4, Challenge: The Next Player Must Show There Card Also The Player Who Placed it, If they have the color the player who have it, The Player Who Placed That Card Must Draw 6, If The Next Player Don't have the color that the Player Ask A Color, He/She Draws 4

If a player doesnt have any other card to play matching color, number, and action cards, they can play a Wild Draw 4 legally, if they have a card matching color, number and action card but plays a wild draw 4, they are playing illegally. The player next from the Wild Draw 4 player can accept the 4 cards or challenge the previous player, the player shows their hand, a legal play will result in drawing 6 instead, an illegal play will result in the Wild Draw being returned, to be recycled and then the illegal player will draw the 4 cards

Unfortunately, the rules on the official site don't seem to go into things like "stacking" (with +2 cards and what not) ... also ... it's illegal to play an action card last, right!? I wish the official website's rules would go into more detail on how NOT to play UNO.

1. if “my friend” puts a “+4” and chooses the color red , can the next person who got the “+4” put a red “+2” instead taking four cards .
2. can you end with a “+4” , “+2” , “reverse” or stop card ?
3. what if someone put a card then changed it and put another one , should they draw two more cards ?
4. after drawing a card can we play in the same time if the color of the card match’s with the color were playing with or should we just draw and let the next person play .
