Challenging has been a thing for at least a couple decades, but people don't typically know about it because they don't read every detail in the rules. This is made even worse by the fact that Wild +4 cards have similar icon notation as +2 cards even though +2 cards don't have any rules relating to challenging. The end result is a card that most people will assume by default is just a hybrid of a +2 card and a Wild card with no other special properties.
1:51 back in my day the wild card did not have the word “wild” on it and we called it “the color changer” (not official, thats just how i called it before knowing it was named the wild card”
This video was so informative that my 5 year old watched it and proceeded to beat me five times in a row. Not bad for a first timer. I said, how did you do that, and He said “well, I did watch that video…”! Haha.
We use additional set of rules at home: 1) If someone has 2 playable cards of same color and number, they can play those two cards at once 2) If there is another card of same number but different color as well, they can drop it along with the two cards dropped as per rule 1 3) Whenever someone plays +2 or wild +4, if the next person too has +2 or wild +4, he/she can play the card type corresponding to the previous player's card at their will and the resultant effect stacks up for the next player
With blank cards, I leave them blank and let whoever plays it make up a *reasonable* rule on the spot, but if they take longer than 15 seconds to make the rule, they have to draw 2 cards
Guys, here at ours, there are some added rules from base UNO, like: +2 and Wild +4 Cards Stacking (like in UNO No Mercy); and Drawing cards until you can play onto the discard pile
Please reply if the other person say uno before u the other person should also have 1 card or you have to hide your 1 card so they dont say uno before u Inshortdoes the other person says uno should also have 1 card left or they just say b4 u ) ?????????
hi, i have a question about the game. if I play Uno cards with 3 player, let's says them; player A, player B, and player C. If player B takes out 2 uno reverse cards at once, who's the next person's turn to play? player "B" or player "C"
I'd say that the rules is also for the UNO Colourblind Accessible. Plays exactly the same as this UNO 2024 but with symbols (or suits) to help colourblind players to be able to see better. Circle = Red Star = Yellow Triangle = Green Square = Blue More of the themed UNO Cards (as long as they have the logo "Mattel, Empowering the next generation through play. Inspirer les futures générations par le jeu.") will have the same rules and instruction formats as this one but with special rule cards. Examples like UNO Disney 100, UNO The Amazing Spiderman, UNO Buzz Lightyear, UNO Despicable Me 4, UNO Batman and etc). What I mean is the new rules changed to ignoring the action card if it is the first card flipped then a new card is flipped together with the fact that now the scoring points became an optional victory method.
We have a house rule in place that I personally call the "No U" rule, and it's that we can choose between doing the +4 wild challenge or not, or if we have a reverse card of any color, we can play that and it'll be treated as if the one who played the +4 lost the challenge even if they played it legally.
i have a question, if for example, person one puts a wild +4 card and picks the colour yellow, can the next person put a +2 card in a colour other than yellow?
i have a question, can i play/put card after i play DRAW 4 card after i declare color. example ; i play DRAW 4, next player must draw 4 from deck then skipped their turn then i declared RED, after i declared can i immediately put Red card in my hand.
No, you have to wait yor turn. For example 3 players are playing. You play +4 card and declare red. Next player (on the left) is missing his turn, next player (on his left) plays red, then your turn.
Custom rules i made up Blue threat : if you play a blue card the number shown in the card next player draws that many cards Unless its a 0, wild or action cards Yellow bomber : like blue threat but you throw the cards and others must pick them up if its near them Red death: draw as many cards as shown in the card Green infection: everytime someone draws 2 (2 turns until its your turn again) every +2 and wild +4 adds by 1 Wild draw : all players (even you) draws 2 cards
Me and my 2 friends were playing uno (we were playing a game where whoever lost all their cards wins). i was the one who shuffle the card i rigged it so that all red cards and wild go to the bottom and 1 wild goes to me, after i used the wild i set the color to red and 4 decks of uno is gone its distributed to all 3 of us. It was a long game tho
If it's fun to play that way, you should play that way. People act like something not being in the "canon rules" makes it forbidden, and that finding out your house rule isn't an official rule is some sort of grand betrayal. The rules of the game make for a baseline, a general agreed upon framework, that you can then tweak and customize to make it work for you and your group. Just make sure everyone knows your house rules in advance and everything is Gucci.
i just came up with a wild custom card that could be really dangerous in a point game it's a normal wild card but if someone wins and you have the card on your hand, the points go to you.
2:00 we made a house rule that you had to choose the colour before everyones hands were shuffled and i think it should be an official rule so that there is risk and reward to guessing what colour you are going to have the most of
I got a question, when someone draw +2/+4 card then next person can draw reverse which turns the person who drawn +2/+4 must take up +2/+4 from deck to himself
here is a good house rule: after playing a number card, if you still have cards with the same number on your hand, you can play them too on that turn, and you choose how many cards to play AND which card is on top of the discard pile
The challenge rule is in the instructions that come with the deck. I don't recall playing that way when I was younger so I just play the draw 4 and lose your turn that's it.
If you want to, you can allow stacking - this is where you can put a draw card on another draw card instead of drawing the cards - for example, putting a +2 on a +2 to make a +4 instead of drawing the 2 cards and losing your turn. This rule is optional.
Can you draw 2 symbol cards..for 2 players.. a lay down a skip card which in turn goes back to me. Can I draw another skip card before 2nd player turn?
2:46 Can i get an explanation on how this works? I'm confused on how this works, In the virtual game Uno, it just randomly makes someone draw 6 or 4 cards..
so if i play a +2 in yellow can my friend next to me play another +2 on top of mind but with a different color ?? also can my friend play 3 cards at the same time because it has the same numbers ? i rlly need an answer bcs some of my friends made fun of me for not knowing how to play uno, i came home and checked the rules , ur video proves tht i played correct all along but these 2 reasons is something tht im confused about as my friends do it
Hi one doubt.... After the +2 card from player 1.. 2nd player picks 2 cards but cannot drop card, 3rd player can drop any card or match the colour of +2 card?? Pls clarify.
It seems they removed the unique rules for 7 and 0 that used to be part of the official rules. Playing a 7 allows you to swap all your cards with someone, and playing a zero rotates all the cards one player in the direction of play
Traditional style UNO wild card The word "WILD" written in black and red upside down with red heart, blue club(four leaf clover) and upside down black spade and yellow diamond pips My version uses a more distinct "club" shape
it doesnt make sense to me to challenge every time a player plays +4 card, they will just abuse it, unless there is a limitation for the number challenges? can someone explain?
If you challenge the +4 and the oponent played it legally, you draw 6. If you challenge the +4 and you were right on the suspicion, the opponent draws 4 instead of you.
Never understand why draw cards (+2/+4) also causes the players to lose their turn, isn't that what skip card already does? Why making +2 so much better than every other non-wild action cards?
Finally a good tutorial to show to my friend bc they be making things up for example when you place a wild card and choose a color you want it to be you have to put a card that has the color of what you pick that stupid what if you choose a color that you don't have what are you going to do that just a rule that my friend made up

Most people played like that. I played using the original rules it's definitely more luck based, but it does not last that long.
With that said, I don't like Uno in the first place. Both original and modified rule are meh
@@hamizannaruto why play it then if you simply complain about it?
@@Sp3ctralI Past tense man. I played.
I complain because I can. I don't like the game. But I did played in the past, with siblings and friend.
I can't complain if I have never play it. Get your head together and think how I can complain without playing it before?
@@hamizannaruto it just wouldn’t make sense to complain about something but continuing to do it, as if it would do anything to stop the complaining or whatnot
@@hamizannaruto which I misinterpreted but whatever
2:30 I remember that rule in Uno Flip for the draw color card. Never heard of it for the +4 card.
I remembered this rule from the other "How to play Uno" video, too.
@@TheTrueBrawlerSo that’s why
Never heard of the challenging rule. I mostly play with stacking and sometimes jumping in
✌
This is the best channel for teaching games. It's very well done and the visuals are really good too, the way they match the instructions.
1:51 back in my day the wild card did not have the word “wild” on it and we called it “the color changer” (not official, thats just how i called it before knowing it was named the wild card”
babe wake up new uno patch notes
In some versions, this shuffle hands card is replaced with a swap hands card, which is the case of my deck
Also the case for my UNO deck, which I bought from the shops in the covered court of my school
This video was so informative that my 5 year old watched it and proceeded to beat me five times in a row. Not bad for a first timer. I said, how did you do that, and He said “well, I did watch that video…”! Haha.
We use additional set of rules at home:
1) If someone has 2 playable cards of same color and number, they can play those two cards at once
2) If there is another card of same number but different color as well, they can drop it along with the two cards dropped as per rule 1
3) Whenever someone plays +2 or wild +4, if the next person too has +2 or wild +4, he/she can play the card type corresponding to the previous player's card at their will and the resultant effect stacks up for the next player
These are just bad examples of house rules.
@@FarazRajput1992 how.? Plz explain. Also tell your suggestions. Rule 2 might be a controversial one for you, but others?
I used these rule too..more enjoyable!!
The "challenge draw 4" rule gives an unfair advantage to the other players because they know what colors of him are remaining.
With blank cards, I leave them blank and let whoever plays it make up a *reasonable* rule on the spot, but if they take longer than 15 seconds to make the rule, they have to draw 2 cards
Reasonable is subjective

When is uno called after keeping the card on the table or before the card is kept or while the card is keeping
Guys, here at ours, there are some added rules from base UNO, like:
+2 and Wild +4 Cards Stacking (like in UNO No Mercy); and
Drawing cards until you can play onto the discard pile
I can barely understand a little
Agr mere pass required color ka card h to bhi to Mai game change krne ke lea colour change card use kar skta hu na..??
Pls reply ...
Please reply if the other person say uno before u the other person should also have 1 card or you have to hide your 1 card so they dont say uno before u
Inshortdoes the other person says uno should also have 1 card left or they just say b4 u ) ?????????
hi, i have a question about the game. if I play Uno cards with 3 player, let's says them; player A, player B, and player C.
Circle = Red
Star = Yellow
Triangle = Green
Square = Blue
More of the themed UNO Cards (as long as they have the logo "Mattel, Empowering the next generation through play.
0:35 Uno reverse cards
Does reverse works only 1 time? Means reverse only change direction for 1 turn?
It changes the direction of play until the game ends unless someone else uses a reverse and switches it.
Custom rules i made up
Blue threat : if you play a blue card the number shown in the card next player draws that many cards
Unless its a 0, wild or action cards
Yellow bomber : like blue threat but you throw the cards and others must pick them up if its near them
Red death: draw as many cards as shown in the card
Green infection: everytime someone draws 2 (2 turns until its your turn again) every +2 and wild +4 adds by 1
Wild draw : all players (even you) draws 2 cards
I have a question. What happens after say UNO on the second last card ?? Do i continue playing, or do i put that card doen and end game
You need to draw 4 more cards cuz that is what happens
I just bought this uno version but not included customize card and shuffle hand card , why is that??
Me and my 2 friends were playing uno (we were playing a game where whoever lost all their cards wins). i was the one who shuffle the card i rigged it so that all red cards and wild go to the bottom and 1 wild goes to me, after i used the wild i set the color to red and 4 decks of uno is gone its distributed to all 3 of us. It was a long game tho
Is it not more fun to stack the +2 cards? So if I match a +2 with another +2 they take 4 etc
Yeah that's how do it
Players with an old version of UNO between 2015-2018 had a “Wild Swap Hands” card instead of the “Shuffle hands” card.
I don’t have the other wild cards i have dare, filp, normal and mini
Can you end the game and win if you play the wild card lastly? (please say yes I am playing with my younger cousin)
i just came up with a wild custom card that could be really dangerous in a point game
it's a normal wild card but if someone wins and you have the card on your hand, the points go to you.
2:00 we made a house rule that you had to choose the colour before everyones hands were shuffled and i think it should be an official rule so that there is risk and reward to guessing what colour you are going to have the most of
Can i question something?
1.Can i win with +2 ?
2. Can i play +2 above +2 ?
3. Can i win with wild card ?
Thanks
1. yes.
2. if you are the one drawing the cards, no. If you are the player after the one drawing the cards, yes.
3. yes.
I got a question, when someone draw +2/+4 card then next person can draw reverse which turns the person who drawn +2/+4 must take up +2/+4 from deck to himself
Is skip card can be drawn on any color
May I perhaps request that you cover the rules changes for UNO 50th anniversary edition?
what happens if both the player with one card left and all other players forget to call uno and the player's turn is over?
We got a refresher of the refresher of the rules after chess
You have made it more complex 😂
here is a good house rule: after playing a number card, if you still have cards with the same number on your hand, you can play them too on that turn, and you choose how many cards to play AND which card is on top of the discard pile
Can we play shuffle hand card at the end???
Thanks you
If playing with just 2 players, does the reverse card do the same thing as the block card?
Yes, and by block you mean skip?
Can we finish on a special card ? Like +4 or +2
Yes ig
Dude,2024 rules?,this video was barely 1year ago,and today is october 24,2024,and 5:42 pm
Some of these rules are not true. All the vids I saw was that the +4 card . U have to draw 4 cards and lose your turn. It didnt talk about a challage.
Play uno pc, and you will get it. They need to add this rule because wild 4+ is a really strong card, so that's why a ruling will needed
The challenge rule is in the instructions that come with the deck. I don't recall playing that way when I was younger so I just play the draw 4 and lose your turn that's it.
can you finish on a +2 card??
Wait so could you counter a plus 2 with another plus 2 to make it plus 4 for the next person?
If you want to, you can allow stacking - this is where you can put a draw card on another draw card instead of drawing the cards - for example, putting a +2 on a +2 to make a +4 instead of drawing the 2 cards and losing your turn. This rule is optional.
Can you draw 2 symbol cards..for 2 players.. a lay down a skip card which in turn goes back to me. Can I draw another skip card before 2nd player turn?
Yes
Hey I have a suggestion how about uno show em no mercy how to play?
TY SO MUCH
2:46 Can i get an explanation on how this works? I'm confused on how this works, In the virtual game Uno, it just randomly makes someone draw 6 or 4 cards..
so if i play a +2 in yellow can my friend next to me play another +2 on top of mind but with a different color ??
also can my friend play 3 cards at the same time because it has the same numbers ?
i rlly need an answer bcs some of my friends made fun of me for not knowing how to play uno, i came home and checked the rules , ur video proves tht i played correct all along but these 2 reasons is something tht im confused about as my friends do it
Stacking +2 or +4 cards is not allowed.
On your turn you must only play one card.
If you don’t have a playable card do you keep drawing until you do or do you draw only one and then the next player goes?
Draw only one then the next player goes.
Drawing until you do is only in UNO No Mercy.
Ive been playing uno wrong my entire life 😂
Hi one doubt....
After the +2 card from player 1.. 2nd player picks 2 cards but cannot drop card, 3rd player can drop any card or match the colour of +2 card??
Pls clarify.
You can continue to match any card of the same colour, or another +2 of any colour
Thank you so much. This video was very helpful. Now I remember how😇😇😇🙏🙏🎅🎅👍👍!! Merry Christmas to you and your family!!😊

Could you do Insane Monopoly next?
i love this uno thing
This is good channel ngl
The rules are the same as regular Uno, except for these changes:
Thank you for this @widmo2068
Wild Shuffle Hands? @TripleSGames, what happened to Wild Swap Hands?
It seems they removed the unique rules for 7 and 0 that used to be part of the official rules. Playing a 7 allows you to swap all your cards with someone, and playing a zero rotates all the cards one player in the direction of play
Those were never actually official if I recall correctly.
That's a house rule.
And a rule of uno no mercy
Can i end my game with 0 or 7 in uno no mercy?
Please help mee
Traditional style UNO wild card
The word "WILD" written in black and red upside down with red heart, blue club(four leaf clover) and upside down black spade and yellow diamond pips
My version uses a more distinct "club" shape
Uno rules with traditional deck
Wild card
Four symbols
Action card
Green(clover) four leaves
Blue(pike) flipped heart
Yellow(tile) rhombus
Red(heart)
In traditional decks clubs are blue and spades are black
it doesnt make sense to me to challenge every time a player plays +4 card, they will just abuse it, unless there is a limitation for the number challenges? can someone explain?
If you challenge the +4 and the oponent played it legally, you draw 6. If you challenge the +4 and you were right on the suspicion, the opponent draws 4 instead of you.
"Shuffle hands"
Ayo we finally have "Suck Dragon"
You actually can play with more than 7 cards if you want. Whenever my brother and I play this game. We always play with a few extra cards
Suppose my friend gives Draw 4
And then it's my turn and I too have draw 4 , then Can I also give Draw 4 or I have to draw 4 cards?
You said color, number or symbol. What symbol?
....I play with stackable cards, as in... I put 2 or more cards that have the same number... I thought those were the rules....
WRONG! Only play exactly ONE card each turn!!!
Home alone? Nah. Playin UNO like solitaire
I make my own fun
Wait so Uno has patch notes now?
Is en passant allowed?
1:38 losing a turn after drawing is devious, I refuse to accept that as official.
You don't really need to play it by the rules tho
Never understand why draw cards (+2/+4) also causes the players to lose their turn, isn't that what skip card already does? Why making +2 so much better than every other non-wild action cards?
So they actually have two or four cards, instead of making them be a glorified 1 or 3?
@@deadersurvival4716 plus one is good enough when you usually go -1 each turn
It has _always_ been this way, since the first known releases!
(also hi there, itspforpea)
@@deedeeen I know, I just don't like it that way, way too strong compared to other action cards imo
Also hi!
@@ItsPForPea Not really. It'd just be 1 extra turn.
Can I counter +4 card by passing to the next player by another +4?
In the official UNO 2024 and/or Colourblind Accessible UNO rules, No!
Only do that in UNO No Mercy.
what's an action or wild card
Is there anything called chicken out and UNO complete in UNO???
Finally a good tutorial to show to my friend bc they be making things up for example when you place a wild card and choose a color you want it to be you have to put a card that has the color of what you pick that stupid what if you choose a color that you don't have what are you going to do that just a rule that my friend made up
To be honest, that made up rule makes the game a little less challenging
This game is extremely similar to Take Two which is played with an ordinary deck of cards. I prefer take two.
It's similar to many games of different names that use traditional style cards. Same game, various variations.
Could you do a Video about Snappy Dressers it is really cool and also from the makers of UNO. I own it and it has 10 different game modes. :3
