Finally after 11 weeks, transcript updated. No update on WMR. Shows refund date of 5/2/24. Never received a letter in mail, no codes. Just finally happy it’s being done. Filed on 2/11/24
@@enine2007 I efiled 03/04, still no updates on the transcript (they say N/A), WMR still shows "Return Received", IRS told me there was a "processing error" on their end that "should" resolve itself 10 weeks from efile date. 2 weeks to go and then I get grumpier.
This might give somebody hope...I received CP05 3/11 and on 4/12 received a letter saying they needed another 60 days, today when I checked my transcript I finally had a 846 refund code dated for 5/1.....👏
I received the CP05 letter 3/11 as well. Filed 1/25. No other updates. Finally contacted my congressman today to get help. Federal and state are both being held for some reason. State was processed and approved last month but they still won't release the refund. This is insane.

Had planned a trip 3 months in advance thinking it would be no issue no problem or anything and now it’s coming time and hasn’t even been received by the IRS like you guys are for really that slow?. You have no idea how many people you probably put in debt and ruin plans

Same here until today. I finally spoke to someone who told me I was stuck in a system error due to no fault of my own. It has been more than 60 days, and there is nothing wrong with my file it just got stuck in the system. He stated he would issue a ticket for them to process, which could be another 30 days. It was stuck on still being processed since 2/5 with no codes. I hope this helps call them. I waited almost an hour for someone. Fingers 🤞I hope this is it.
FINALLY. After just under 11 week Refund Approved. Filed on March 4. WMR and transcript both updated. l spoke w/ IRS a couple days ago and they said my return got kicked out of the normal processing cycle due to human error. Evidently e-file is not purely electronic and an actual person gets involved.
Accepted 1/29. Codes 570 and 971. Dates 3/4 and 3/11. Received first 60 day letter a few days after 3/11. Received LTR 2645C in the mail yesterday. They need 60 more days before they can tell me what they need. My taxes are simple, just the basics except my husband pulled from his 401k for the first time.
File 1/29 no notice, no nothing. Wife had to call and talk with rep to find out issue. Received 5071c letter 3 weeks later. Verification done 3/22. Nothing until I just look at two different tax transcript. First was date 4/22 and the second was today 4/29. 4/22 transcript no 971 code, the second has a 971 code of 5/13. So now what? I have the 570 of 4/29. This is so crazy, I have never had this happen and I have had a couple offsets in the past few years.
If Verification is the hold up it could take up to 9 weeks after it was completed. It looks like it's been about 5 weeks. . usually on average 2-3 weeks so you are beyond the average but not the quoted time frame. Yeah you are right this is pretty crazy. . .ID verification requests have gone through the roof compared to last year. . . unfortunately I see it only getting worse in the years ahead.

Notice says they are verifying one ore more of the following: income, withholding, credits, business income. They did not request any additional information and my income on the social security website matches my tax return. I think my transcript updates on Mondays so hopefully I will see some progress soon!
I filed on 1/30... had to verify identity... completed on 3/11 at the local tax office. Since then no update until 4/15. i received the cp21b letter stating that i would recieve my refund in 2 or 3 weeks. So i called to see if they would send out a check or would it be direct deposited into my account... then the representative says that my account is still on hold and that the cp21b letter was sent out in error. Smh... its been almost a 4month wait so far for my refund this is ridiculous.

Went to irs in person to submit all information needed just to get audited twice this never happens it's over 60 days I just checked my transcript and it says the IRS has sent me out a notice has anyone had any luck or a situation like mine it went from still being processed to being processed this is unfair I filed months ago
Still no letter, called last Monday to have letter sent again and STILL no letter. I filed taxes on 2/18 requiring additional information on WMR 12C letter expected.
Return accepted 1/31. Codes 570 and 971. Received notice they need more time 3/18. Nothing since. I contacted my congressman and his office is supposed to check into for me.
Interesting that so many of us have the same date, 3/18. like we are stuck in their computer system for some reason. we need to create our own group updates...for anyone with that date that sees movement, keep each other posted on this YT page comments.

They need to let us know if we need to provide ID verification ! Which is bogus because my state came in and they didn’t any ID verification. I gave that info to my tax turbo team. Shouldn’t that have been passed on to the IRS??
No - Federal and State taxes are handled completely separate and on 2 different systems by two different entities aka the IRS and your state income tax bureau.
I finally got the transcript updated today with a refund issue date May 1 2024! I didn't have an update, letter, or any code until I finally spoke to someone about 2 weeks ago over the phone.
I filed Jan 24 and the IRS accepted it Jan 29. I have had the 570 and 971 codes since I first learned about transcripts. The 570 code has 3/4/2024 beside it while the 971 has 3/11/2024. I did receive my CP05 on 3/14/2024. I am Still waiting. I PRAY that I Do receive it by May 11.🤞🙏🤞🙏

What date was on your letter that stated you didn't have to do anything? I got the Same letter. It said 60 days from the date of the letter. I got my letter 3/14 but it was dated 3/11. THEORETICALLY my 60 days are up May 12th. I hope the letter was right 🤞🤞 I Hope you get yours quicker.

12:10 am file in February accepted on the 2ond got the c506letter on the 18th of March message still saying been delayed beyond my filing the letter said there nothing I did wrong I retired in September of last year n the letter said they was checking on my I guess 401k money that I had rolled over but they took out the taxes for federal and state my employer reported everything I am coming up on the 45 days wait on the end of this month n my 60 days at the end of May. I sent for my transcript they have not come either it's been 2 weeks since I order that may something will change soon I have call but is un able to talk to anyone still waiting

I filed 01/29. I got 570 code and 971 code. I called to set an appointment to go into the irs office and was told I have a cp05 code and I just have to wait out the 120 day review. 120 days for 03/11. That's it.

Still waiting but i have a 152 notice, and my daughter as well but she called and they gave her a fax# to send in all of her info when she filed and a written letter stating that she havent received her letter from the IRS in the allotted time, if that helps anyone let me know and ill give you the fax# that they gave her to send in your info to speed up the time.

I called tax advocate and they said you gotta wait 20 weeks from filing date in order for them to help you
