As someone that sells SD and MicroSD Cards and have spoken to Representatives from Sandisk, I can guarantee you that there is no performance differences in SD Cards whether or not you use a Micro or just standard SD Cards, performance is controlled by the spec of the card itself. I also I saw something about direct connection being better but all the adaptor does is increase the size of the contact pads to support SD Card size.
dang. i bought a pretty high end microSD just so it doesn’t affect my cameras quality. so far its going good. same performance i see from a regular SD. so idk maybe that depends on the camera you’re using?
Def depends on the camera youre using! Nothing 100% wrong with microsd especially if its a higher end but often times I see people using below v90 class. My concerns are when it comes to compression rates and reading and writing speeds.

I’m a firm believer in the closer the connection the better. When using microsd with an adapter I think sometimes there cna be issues because the adapter is used to communicate between the card and cam, while a regular SD can connect directly. Plus there are higher read and writes out of regular SD and in todays age its soo much better to avoid micro because of the buffers of shooting in slower speeds.
