People don't realize it. But this is one of the greatest albums of this generation. This is one of the greatest albums of the past 17 years. Frank is a true artist and he can speak to all levels of society. I hope frank gives us another album some day soon. Thank you Mr.Ocean.
the album is titled blonde because blonde hair is often bright when one is young, but it begins to darken as they age. this is used to discuss how we lose our freedom with age. this theory is supported by the fact that after the nights beat switch, the album takes a darker tone. in the first half of the album (before nights) frank uses high-pitched vocals to represent his younger self. he also mentions the word summer several times in this album which represents youth and freedom. in the second half of the album (after the nights beat switch) he only references summer once when Andre 3000 says he is “watching the summer come close to an end” which represents the end of his childhood.
Love how he uses the high pitched voice to start the album. Up until this point it had been 4 years since we had heard from Frank so that was a good tease to start things off. Once it leads into his real voice it’s almost like an explosion
Im 20, this dropped when I was 12, I still remember all the girls I dedicated these songs to lmao. Miss you Frank but wishing you a lifetime of healing

This song sounds like new to me - the start of summer, the start of a new love, the start of nothing, so to speak. It has a somber, nostalgic tone to it - you can tell this is a song about looking back, not about living. Through the album, the new feeling (especially in the context of 4 years waiting for an album) tells the beginning, middle, and end of a time in your life. That's what makes it so relatable - we all have our lived experience, which we link intrinsically with the first half of Blonde, and the second half grounds us to our lives now. This song reminds me of when I went on holiday to Spain and this album released like a week before and my mum couldn’t get enough of this album so she kept replaying this song the entire holiday because this is her favourite song on the album
Revisiting this album. I remember all the hype we had while waiting for its release, and how amazing I've felt listening to it when it came out. Haven't heard it in a while tho, feels good to look back man, nostalgia.
Artists like him or Kendrick just show how great a project can get if you spend a decent amount of time in working on it. If you drop albums every year it's usually not that great. Quality over quantity.
there is something about this album that everyone relate to and feel like they frank is singing about their experience and that is what makes this album one of the greatest of all time because no matter what is happeing in your life this album makes you feel like frank is talking right to you
blonde by frank ocean. the love of my life. the album that brought heaven down to earth. the album to fall in love to and provide comfort in the most loneliest hours in the same breath. the album that heals wounds. my favorite album ever. the epitome of art. eternally grateful.
This album means so much to me because when it came out I had no idea who frank ocean was, but I heard there was hype around this project so I downloaded it before I went to my cabin for a week. I listened to the whole thing, enjoyed it, but didn't appreciate any of it, being a 14 year old who listened to dub step, and just heard the beats. In the past few months, after revisiting it and becoming a fan of all of his other music, I now realize the meaning and emotions frank spilled onto all of these tracks. The feelings he brings out of me paired with the nostalgia of the memories from almost 3 years ago makes these songs connect with me in a way no other artist has done. I cant wait to hear what the future holds for frank. He has inexplicable talent that really brings out the introspective thoughts in me.
May Frank's little brother continue resting in eternal peace, it's so sad man. Condolences to Frank and his family. I hope they are able deal through this as a family. ❤️😔

Te amo Frank, te amo a ti y a tu música, definitivamente es uno de los mejores álbumes que he podido escuchar
this is my first time listening to frank ocean and i’m thanking NCT’s jaehyun and mark lee for recommending him :(( this is art . no other words , just ART .
This was the best album ever
This song reminds me of when I went on holiday to Spain and this album released like a week before and my mum couldn’t get enough of this album so she kept replaying this song the entire holiday because this is her favourite song on the album
This is one of the best albums in this generation i've ever heard. favorite song too.
One of the greatest songs & albums of all time. Severely underrated.
Revisiting this album. I remember all the hype we had while waiting for its release, and how amazing I've felt listening to it when it came out. Haven't heard it in a while tho, feels good to look back man, nostalgia.
+4 years and we’re all here like we never left.

Artists like him or Kendrick just show how great a project can get if you spend a decent amount of time in working on it. If you drop albums every year it's usually not that great. Quality over quantity.
Lmao he dropped 2 albums in like 2 weeks when this came out
@@tuckersnow609 endless ain't really an album
Ryder man but it was better than 90% of albums that came out when endless released
@@tuckersnow609 he did that so he can finally escape his label at the time
Ong and same with The Weeknd as well
This album took so many months for me to get used to but now my soul is moved! Damn this so good
there is something about this album that everyone relate to and feel like they frank is singing about their experience and that is what makes this album one of the greatest of all time because no matter what is happeing in your life this album makes you feel like frank is talking right to you
I don’t know what I’d do without this music. Thank you Mr. Ocean 🌊 🖤
blonde by frank ocean. the love of my life. the album that brought heaven down to earth.
the album to fall in love to and provide comfort in the most loneliest hours in the same breath. the album that heals wounds. my favorite album ever. the epitome of art. eternally grateful.
"We don't talk much of nothing,
But when we're talking about something,
We have good discussion"
This one hits me so hard
Same
fr bro wish i could do it all again.
Your best song I've heard so far in my opinion.🙏🏻.
We will only realise in the future how lucky we are to have him
This album means so much to me because when it came out I had no idea who frank ocean was, but I heard there was hype around this project so I downloaded it before I went to my cabin for a week. He has inexplicable talent that really brings out the introspective thoughts in me.
beautiful
May Frank's little brother continue resting in eternal peace, it's so sad man. Condolences to Frank and his family. I hope they are able deal through this as a family. ❤️😔
First time listening to this album wish me luck
Edit. I cried to this album. Beautiful
Did u like it ?

happy 7 years to the greatest album I have ever listened to
imagine being carmelo anthony, and you're a big frank ocean fan and you're super pumped for the new album. then you're 40 seconds into it and you hear "she need a ring like carmelo"
One of the greatest intros to an album ever.
Esta Música es droga, por qué me cura 😢
