For anyone trying to figure out how to disassemble the front grill of the fan, there is a simple trick to make this easy. You unscrew the screw at the bottom of the plastic ring, then flip the lever down and put a flat head screwdriver in between the metal halves of the finger guard. Not the plastic but in between the metal parts. Then gently twist and the two halves will separate and you can remove the front. The back one only comes off after you unscrew the fan blades (counter clockwise) and then the other plastic nut holding the back on.
Oh my Godness!!! Thank you so much. We have the fingers very sores.
Your tip helped me out immensely. My fan is 3 years ole and has run beautifully quiet until this morning when I heard a clicking noise at all speeds. I tried for an hour just to remove the screw as it is small and my eyes are not the greatest, but I finally got the screw out and then couldnt remove the guard. But with your tip I got the guard off and all it was that was wrong was that the big black knob on the front holding the fan blade had become loose. I tightened it up and all is good now. I got the guard back on with minimal effort and I thank you very much for that tip on removing the guard. I would have gone out and bought another fan in frustration hadn't it been for your tip.
Going to try, tomorrow. Been standing gathering dust since September. Can not get the front grid off. Wanna clean the thing! Unscrewed the screws, cannot get the front grid to budge. Hope it works!
In the silence night mode the ventilator works literally without a chance to hear anything and flow of air is enough to cool you gently, so you won't be irritated while sleeping. Btw, a small sound appears on the 1st speed. And you have a bunch of modes for every taste.
Hi! I bought this fan today! I was able to assemble it as shown. I, however, can’t pry open the remote controller. How to open the remote controller so that I can put in a battery? Please help.
I just bought this fan and not only this Setup instruction is awesome, works exactly like shown here, unless you r stupid. Even my pet chimpanzees could do it. The fan is just great. It’s super silent in night mode, I can clearly recommend it. I usually don’t do comments on products because it looks like advertising but this fan is just awesome.
I am still having problems installing the fan blade. How do you get the blade to go all of the way down? I can't get it pass the black coating on the stem? Video and instructions are not clear. Frustrated. HELP!
Thank you for this. As a PROUD and UNASHAMED dumbass I NEEDED this:-) This was WAY easier than my Rowenta Tabletop fan. That sucker drew blood and conjured up old cusswords I hand long ago forgotten....
Ridiculous, right?? Just got mine today and used this video to put it together. Thankfully I have a bunch of those batteries around, they fit a lot of different remotes, even for my car key fobs.
I’ve seen the instruction manual. It’s only pictures, which can help, but sometimes words are needed for best results. I’d venture to say this video would beat the pics or at least enhance them. Sad, people can’t read or write in the 21st century. I’m sure it has something to do with this being made in China, but one would think a German engineered product would be able to have intelligent enough technical writers to write a manual in grammatically correct English, too.
had the fan a little less then a year and all the sudden one of the plastic fan blades inside decided to crack in half and broke all the other fan blades i had to turn it off and now i have to find a replacement but they dont sell the fan blades anywhere!!
Thank you. The installation is easy but you should be careful while installing the blades. Make sure the straight part of the metal rod is aligned with that of the blades, otherwise it won't go all the way inside! Also, the round plastic thing around the fan head unscrews CLOCKWISE.
can someone explain how we should remove the fan guard once installed/snapped on? I need to tighten a part inside the guard since it sounds like there's a cricket in there at times but can't easily open it? Any help greatly appreciated!
Thank you! I don't have a bradawl but used a screwdriver's flat headed bit to snap it open in the end as well. Was worried I was going to break some of the plastic parts though. It would be great if Rowenta could post a video on how to properly do this. It's not obvious at all.
Hey, I am BEGGING and sweating here, I am at the point where I am trying to get fan-blades down on the metal screw but it doesn't go down far enough to secure it with the large black attachment piece. Can someone explain to a non-technical person about how to assemble this damn thing?

at minimum settings, it's pretty quite but the fan is still too strong. you can't use it comfortably within 1 meter. If you have a large room, it's fine, just put it further away. In my office, I can't put it further than 70 cm and that is still too strong for me. I wish it'd have a setting with half the power of the minimum speed. I regret my purchase.

Thank you for the tip! First timeI actually learned something of a youtube comment.

Thank you, this video made the assembly incredibly easy.
I just found out that the rowenta fan is serviceable!! AMAZING!!
Thank you for this! The directions that came with it were not great. This made it so easy!
I'm quite surprised that the column is screwed against something without a hole, but a pretty simple assembly for the remaining of it thanks !
I can't screw off the big round plastic part on my fan. I have the shorter version. Why didn't you include an assembly guide with the fan in the box?
We got instructions with ours. You sure you just didn't throw them out by accident?
I also didn't receive one. but then this video is better than any written documentation. the big round plastic is removed clock-wise.
I can’t screw off the big round plastic part either, how frustrating! What to do????
The round thing just goes around and around, does not come off. I’ll break the thing if I continue.
@@Aheartsdiode you have to hold the metal axis and then turn the big round plastic clockwise.
It is quite obvious in the video at 00:49
Thank you. This upload was so helpful for us. Appreciate it 😊

Excellent- very clear demo!

I farted and this fan moved the air perfectly.

I have VU5640 turbo silence fan and this thing vibrates like crazy. Everybody in the building can hear it.

Thank you for this tutorial! Super useful.

BlephingTerrible I'm too trying to figure it out. It gets very dusty
BlephingTerrible I unscrewed it, and unclicked it with a bradawl from the bottom back.

The blades don't assemble that easy - you should explain how
