2:57 if you have two couches or chairs that are close together, you could try jumping between those too. It helped me adapt my elbows and wrists to the impact of landing.
With jumping, you have to bring your legs in as fast as you can to be able to land without going on your knees, you have to do it in kind of a sharp way.
This is the best tutorial I’ve found! I was doing quads at a camp the other day with my friends (one was a therian, me and my friends are quadrobists, I think that’s how you spell it) and I kept falling while trying to do a jump (I’ve just started), so I’ll put these tips into my mind.

When I first started quads I wasen’t used to landing on my hands, so I would normally land on my feet cause of natural instincts. I taught myself by doing it on bouncy surfaces(trampoline, a mat, couch, bed, etc…..) and putting a item in the middle so I have a idea of what to jump over. It helps! Try it!

No, don’t keep your hands and your feet together when running! It’s just a faster and stretched-out version of cantering. You have a lead “leg” (arm for us as physical humans-and otherwise, though many quadrobists are also therians so…🤷♀️). A right lead is when you put your right hand down before your left, and a left lead is the opposite. Honestly it’s a bit hard to explain without a video and I don’t really make content myself to show what I mean, but if you look at a real animal running I think you’ll get it.
@@Crimsons_giant_paws I try to keep my hands and feet closer to together otherwise sometimes I stretch too wide and look like a spider💀 Yes tho you don’t keep completely together I like to focus on keep your hands and legs close enough where there under your body when you bring them in:)

I’ve never really had trouble with my arms and legs being too far apart, though that might just be because one of my theriotypes is a strong and fast runner (though one of the other two swims most of the time and has short legs, and the third is bipedal, really more of a kintype than a theriotype because it’s quite humanoid) so running form is just natural for me. Someday you’ll probably feel the same as me about running though! Practice makes progress, and as you progress to “perfect” form, you won’t need to think about certain things that much.
