Dayton Allen Bolke certainly was a master voice artist! Seeing and hearing DD for the first time in many decades--and having learned a lot more about cartoons and voice acting since--I realize that he did virtually all the voices here. It's taken me a while really listening to Muskie's characterization in coming to that conclusion. Regardless, I've developed a new found appreciation for Vincent Van Gopher!
First time I've watched deputy dog in a least 50 years .and the funny thing is.i said to myself I wonder who does the characters voices and the 3rd comment mentions who it is. When your 10 years old you don't think about who does the voices, you just want to watch the cartoons. Thanks for posting.
I missed getting to school on time from this very episode Waaaaaaaay back sometime in the 70s..lol..Mr Peabody and his way back machine was a serious distraction also..lol
I remember watching Deputy Dawg one day when I was 9 years old back in 2013. This show popped up on my UA-cam feed at the time though and that's when I remember checking it out though for the first time cuz this show was new to me since I have never seen it though. But now I'm 18, I still remember this show to this very day even after almost 10 years. But does anyone know the name of the episode to where Deputy Dawg let free a guy from jail and all of a sudden he did not want to leave Jail because of Deputy Dawg's cooking? If y'all do know the name of the episode, please tell me and I want to watch it again because I haven't seen it in a long time. Thanks!
I feel for the children growing up in the modern World.. The Children’s TV in Britain in the 1970’s was Epic and much loved 🥰.. Cartoons out of the USA were totemic.. Tom & Jerry… Dick Dastardly 😂… But Deputy Dog was Masterful 😝😂😂
It played often during the daytime in the early 70s (reruns) I remember there would be Deputy Dawg, Underdog, Hercules, Scooby Doo, Josie and the Pussycats, and others. I think Scooby was on Saturday Cartoon Day.
I was so innocent No sex life yet No punching of the clock No bills to be paid Only worries, cartoons, candy, and occasional ass whipping Sure do miss the 60’s Great Times, Simple Times A Time when we all cared for one another ‼️✅
I remember running home from school every afternoon to watch Deputy Dawg. It's wonderful to watch these funny cartoons again all these years later.
Very underrated as is Dayton Allen's masterful voice work. Classic.
SOOOOOOO TRUE !!!

Years ago my impeccable impersonation of Deputy Dawg and his nephew caused my reluctant boyfriend to fall in love and marry me. ❤️❤️❤️
Amazing story
I hope Deputy Dawg got an invitation to the reception at least...great tale with a marvelous ending!!!🙏👌👻
If you can do Judy Jetson, I’ll fall in love with you and marry you.

I have not seen this since about 1968 or 1969. It holds up well. I take it that Deputy Dog is the same voice is Klondike Kat.
They do not make'm like this anymore!
Deputy Dawg and Walter Cronkites 20th century were my favorite shows as a kid.
Wow I miss these old cartoons.
That is not Moley Mole, that is Vince Van Gopher.

Nothing like good old dynamite/TNT(Tri nitro toluene) to liven up a 1960s cartoon! 3:05
5:22 - 5:24 Catfish 🐱🐟 Laughs 😹 like Deputy Dawg.

Yes, there's nothing like that any more, with such simple charm.

Droopy dawg beat them all
So this is what They Might Be Giants are referencing
Sadly the three fabulously familiar voices can't save a pretty ropey script there . Muskey
