No problem. I'm glad I could help. If the ramp is temporary (a few years or less) you can do it this way. If you're building a permanent structure to go up and down many steps then you'll need to up the budget, add side-rails, use treated wood, etc...
This was so cool. I am getting ready to build my own wheelchair ramp. I can only walk about 200 feet with my crutches. I have a wheelchair but it weighs 280lbs, so I can’t pick it up and lift it out without injuring myself. Tired of injuring myself, so this was a real good answer and I’m gonna give it a try. Thanks so much!
If you lived near me I would come help you. Do you live near me? I'm in East TN. Thanks for your comment. Let me know how it's going.... or hell... make your own video and show me how it's going. Peace to you and your family.
I'm terribly at... well everything. Do you think it'd be sturdy enough if I lay down a piece of plywood that will be the top of the ramp and just fill the area underneath with some kind of foam. It'll only be 2.5 inches tall at the top
You shouldn't say that about yourself. I am 100% positive you're great at something and born to do it professionally. Yes...., If you're only going up one 2-1/2" step you should be fine. Just sturdy-it-up as best you can.
With your hands you built somebody freedom...Thank you for that and for taking us along.
What a wonderful thing to say. Thanks for starting my day out on the right foot.
Loved this video brother. The music was so calming as well. Cheers, god bless you!
I'm glad you enjoyed it. No need to stress and rush through a project like this... Just take your time and enjoy it.
Peace

"it's worth a couple extra bucks to get a good screw" I know nothing about carpentry or building things but truer words have never been spoken
