- This is like a tribute to PMD. This game forged a part of my childhood. I wanted to support this good old game, as a musical Fan-Art.

Nah. If they would remake it, it would only destroy the magic the original one had - it should be kept the way it is
I don’t want a remake to ruin the masterpiece the game is, but releasing the original on the switch would be fantastic!

I just want a Switch _game._ It doesn't need to me a remake, if the game's good enough to love then that should be enough for us.
I love how Grovyle played the role of the true hero.. But he also played the role of a good friend, and he kept his friendship even though his friend (The player) isn't like the one he knew anymore.
Though he knew that he would never be able to see his friends again... He pushed himself with Dusknoir in the portal. I love the line-
"Though the parting hurts.. The rest is in your hands!"
And the line that he said to make the evil spirit inside Dusknoir shine and understand - (Maybe I've forgotten;-;)

This is one of the reasons PMD Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky will always be my favorite games.
the music is on of the easiest way to remember a game, because we had a grater sound memory. and PMD had understand this..it was the first game who make me cry only with his soundtrack

I remember the day when my parents gave me PMD2 as gift when I actually wanted Pokemon Ranger. It was the best mistake they'd ever make.
My god, no way! This exact same thing happened to me when I was 7; for years I thought I was the only one who got my favorite childhood game purely on accident
Its not a mistake its a masterpiece
I love the slow build up then silence and then suddenly your feels are struck hard as a wave of chills hit you when the chorus plays. I would die for a VR perspective of traveling through the Sea of Time listening to this, or at least a fully made RPG of the Mystery Dungeon world

ok but imagine: pokemon mystery dungeons but like breath of the wild and you're a pokemon traveling with your partner in an open world region fufilling quests and missons

The second time I played, I knew that Grovyle was not the villain. So when everyone at the guild was all LETS CATCH GROVYLE and when they caught him and tied him up I was honestly really sad. Boy, it must suck to feel hated by everyone ur trying to save

i realized you're talking about a different part of the music, to which i say, good catch, i never caught that.
Yeah, that motif is part of why I think PMD2 is so loved. The motif's presence ties things together and its evolution as the the story progresses seems to tell a story in its own right.
If I may ask, which part of the music were you talking about?

Definitely! Without this game, my outlook on this world would've been a lot different and I personally think it's something special that every kid should experience. Thank you for the wonderful output on this game! ^-^
Neo Stratus I only played it recently on my DS because I had never thought it was going to be good but I was extremely surprised to see what an amazing story it had and honestly it’s a shame it didn’t get more sales.
Well at least you got to enjoy it! That in itself is important and you can help this game's integrity flourish by showing those who haven't seen it how wonderful this story really is. Plus, now there's one more person that has relinquished in the long forgotten core of Pokemon's real theme "We'll support one another not by simply protecting what we cherish, but by understanding that one's thoughts can determine how others shall stand, no matter the cause." (This is only my interpretation though, there could be other ideas)
If there's any video game that could be called a cult classic, this is it.

From a Story standpoint, this is what is called "The Call to Action".
This game got me thinking about the structure of stories, too
RIP Own Eye Music's content. It sucks that, not only was their channel taken down on UA-cam, but they were also removed completely from Spotify. Thanks for re-uploading this! Copyright laws get way too out-of-hand, at times.
Explorers of sky is the best thing that ever came out of this franchise, and nobody can change my mind about that. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the main line games are bad. They are amazing and a big part of my childhood, too. But Exlorers of Sky is just that good.
Agreed. My second favourite game is Black and White, since N is just such a great antivillian, and such a lovable character later on as well. Essentially just an abused child who deserved better in life.
But not even that comes close to Explorers of Sky.
@@toolatetothestory Yep, same here. Gen 4 and 5 is where Pokemon peaked if you ask me, both in terms of new games, spin-offs and remakes.

The newer games aren't all bad, Legends of Arceus as example was absolutely awesome.
But it could have done with the time travel what PMD did.
They could have repeated the heart wrenching gut punch, with the shock, agony and pain on everyone's face as the Protagonist vanishes into non existence.

Jokes aside though, I do kinda wish they still had the balls to pull something like that. Or just generally to make a more serious story with mature themes again. Pokemon has so much untapped potential when it comes to storytelling, and PMD showed us just how high that potential is.
If I remember correctly, Dragon Quest announced that the next game in the series would be for adults and considerably more mature than the previous games. I kinda wish Pokemon would do the same thing. I mean there are literally millions upon millions who grew up with Pokemon that are now adults, so its not like there would be no audience for it.

Hey, maybe revisit an idea they had before, with the Detective mini story after X and Y. It was really fun, and solving crimes with Pokemon, related to them as well? A lot of potential!
And we could dig out our favourite half useless Detective friend again! I miss the guy.

Sky is better then Time/Dakness, but yes PMD 2 is the best
Yeah, Sky adds new features for the Main Story but yes, PMD2 in general is the best Pokémon game I ever played.
I'm crying the sh* out of my eyes, every single time I listen to this. Not because of nostalgia, but because of that painful feeling I still have for Grovyle's sacrifice and what Dusknoir did to the three of us. Even if it's years ago I played the games for the first time and there was a happy ending on both sides in the special episode of explorers of sky, there's this inner pain I can't let go and it always gives me heart aches. This orchestrated remix will always be the most epic thing I will ever hear in my entire life.

I just noticed this is a slowed down peaceful version of the primal dialga fight music...
And its a sped up version of “in the hands of fate” along with sharing bits from the time gear theme.
That musical idea is present in almost every major song and its amazing, since it changes and evolves throughout your journey.
Yeah this game is famous for its use of leitmotifs and this is a great example of one of them

It's kinda hard to get an official copy these days but there's plenty of emulators.
This is from either Explorers of Time, Darkness or Sky. Sky is the enhanced version, akin to Platinum or Emerald.

It's amazing how this theme can pump you up for the ladt leg of your adventure one minute and then shatter your heart the next. Such a powerful piece of music

Just love the PMD series, the ending is always so sad but satisfying, always makes me shed a tear or two even tho I've played "PMD-red rescue" for 12 times, and "PMD-eos" for 7 times.

Nostalgia is hitting me really hard with this... I really wish to see a Nintendo Switch version of this game. My hopes are higher now that the Red/Blue Rescue Team remake is a real thing.

That one day we will get a mystery dungeon in a open world game where every pokemon has a story to tell, mystery to solve, a travel where you and your partner become a true exploration team, a world rich and vivid where every pokemon moves in his habitat, the bouffalants run in groups, the wingulls fly in the sky, the combees attack you near the trees, tentacool spray you acid from the distance near water. Am i asking too much?

Truly one of the best video games I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing. Explorers of sky is probably my all time favorite game
So I’ve been seeing the comments about a remaster or remake. There are those who want it and those who think the value of the original should be saved. I think, as long as they did it right, this game in the style of Octopath Traveller would be a good compromise. I don’t know, maybe!
