Love these segments. I hate how often the Red Sox are a part of them. Could be chasing a division title if it wasn’t for all the bad mental errors we make. (Because it’s not just the players!)

Playing the infield in to “cut off the run” works about as often as the hit and run. Both are pretty when they work out, but they rarely do. I guess the theory here was that a LH batter who pulls a GB will prob hit it hard, so you can play half way with the second baseman, but if you’re gonna do the cut off the gamble you might as well be all the way in with everybody.
