Great show, I can personally relate to the Seagull problem...
I live in Llandudno (North Wales) and have had them take sausage rolls off me and ice creams from my young daughters.... A few years ago one went for something my partner was eating and cut her just below the lip and gave her 7 stitches. Not forgetting every time we have a BBQ in OUR OWN garden they often swoop down onto the table which people are sitting at and take all sorts......
Another problem is they are very clever birds and know how to open our bins so there's constant rubbish being dropped everywhere......
Shoot them all I say 🎯🎯🎯

GAMEKEEPER JOHN Agreed John. They are a menace. I have been attacked in Conway just across from you. They were aggressive and just need controlling. It's not like they are few and far between

seagulls should be shot inland, they spread waste around logistical sites, tips etc ripping open waste bags

I think you can shoot greater black backed gulls 5 miles inland?? Anyone else know about this?

If you have a flat roof and gulls are frequently on it put a dead gull on the roof and they will never go on your roof again works 100% .

Great show as usual guys ,, with regard to gulls, I live on the north wales coast , and obviously that's where gulls are supposed to live, unfortunately visitors to the coastal town feed the gulls and feral pigeons, the gulls now just help themselves to food, take it out of your hands etc, very dangerous for children outside McDonalds etc ,, Rhyl council payed a lot of money to a falconer to walk round with hawks ,, didn't work, but the seaside is where they belong,, people need educating to not feed or encourage the gulls, there needs to be a full to bring numbers down to a sensible level, also I,believe the large gull specie's should be on open license if three miles or more inland, they are now in plague proportion's,,

My man said the force required to rip a piece of soft McDonalds steamed bun is enough to hurt a thumb..

Damned seagulls ! Here in Newfoundland as well, they can be a nuisance, with similar problems as everybody else has to endure.
Folks around here refer to them as 'sky rats'and should be dealt with accordingly.
I do enjoy the segments of Tim Pilbeam's escapades, I only wish we could see more.

the environment agency or other body should be able to hand out free general licences to certain areas with problems.
i watched a doc on the issue and they found that only certain birds will actually attack people for food maybe just shoot the culprits but then the less dominant ones will take up niche. surely same tactics as pigeon control would work fine.
i also wonder if gulls push the pigeons out on any level. intreresting

You are never going to encourage tourists to the UK coastal resorts. The birds have taken over. Eventually you will have to pay to have them removed, when you could have had that for free if you issued licences. Britain! I despair.

Too many countryside rules are being decided by people who have absolutely no idea of how the rural life is lived. Mind you the whole country is being run like that!

I know what Tim means about the noise when shooting from within a confined space, I shot a fallow deer from my lounge room with a .270 My wife was fine sitting at the kitchen table with her fingers in her ears but I got the full noise! It also ripped the side turret off my scope because that was resting on the outside of the door frame when the recoil pushed the rifle back and the turret popped off,, dam!

We live more than one hundred kilometers inland (in Belgium) and last year we had seagulls attacking our kids in the garden to get their cookies and so on...
After a while they even started attacking our pigeons and some of our little chickens. And if we forgot to close the door of the little stable where we keep our food-supplies...they even ravaged that place.
The good old Air Arms TX200 in .22 (FAC) took care of the problem...the first days it was a real carnage but after about a week the seagulls were gone, they are not stupid. When you start shooting them...they bugger off!
