There's some other twitter threads that go really deep with the analysis/ meaning and about it satirizing the trad wife societal expectations. Some people are reacting to the translated lyrics, esp the very suggestive double entendres referencing the "ideal" objectified / submissive woman pandering to men, as "Wow Soyeon is so horny" (I even saw one qrt call this the WAP of kpop...) which is TOTALLY missing the mark. The best tidbit I saw was that in the album teaser, Wife was not shown and was the only file found unplayable in the recycling bin LOL

The Genius translation is just bad…the Korean lyrics are full of actual Korean slang innuendos. The song is very much about sex.
@@Sogeking995 yes that is a big part of the song because it’s supposed to represent what the “perfect wife” is from society’s perspective aka a sex object with no personality that shuts up and cooks and cleans, the song and MV are satirizing and criticizing that. (G)I-DLE is in their art pop era.

Minnie's rap caught me off guard as someone who Partially speaks Korean.
If you wanna know one of the lines she said, were around the lines of "kiss me carefully and eat me boldly" basically because women are often seen as objects to satisfy men, but it still made me spit my tea out lol. Edit: it was Minnie's rap not Shuhua's, I mixed them up for some reason. Apparently I don't know (G)I-DLE well even though they got me into kpop lol 😅
