Listened it in 2015. It was a scorching hot summer in jodhpur. I was trying to focus on a book I was studying at that time. Suddenly my friend came, and he was kind enough to give me some internet through hotspot. And I stumbled upon this master piece at that moment. Midway this song, I felt a sense of overwhelming joy. I can't describe that feeling in words. We both just sat silently for few seconds, and then played it again on speakers. A million times thank you Mame Khanji for this beautiful song. I've been searching its lyrics... But haven't found yet.
I really have slight confusion with everyone calling it a loree. To me it feels like a song that mother would sing to her son in morning. Trying to wake him up while he is trying to sleep a bit more past sunrise. "jaago jaago jaago, hun kanwar kanahaiya jaago" seems anomalous for a loree. "mai sadke jaava neend re mitthe baalke" is like she feels joyed to see her kid in such half sleepy kinda situation but she gotta wake him up and that's why she is singing this.

mama khan is still singing like his father's which realy hia own practice and faar changage from others' mangniyars which good for community that we didn't loose his father's way of singing.keep it up god bless you.

Wow ! Can you hear again here . ...I was so fortunate to attend your concert in the 3 day festival Sacred Music in Zorba , this november . My own singing and puppetplay brought me in the tent of the Bengal Baul singers where there came a music with a resonance , I can only feel immense blessed to be part of . And then in the evening your concert . So pure , vibrant , heart and soul stirring . How I enjoyed ...could hardly sit still , my whole inward and outward body moved in deep joy touched by the music . Shukran !
