    Great practical demo of a ring mod....I built one but wasn't sure how it was supposed to sound, until now.

    I believe you have the definition right. The more I use ring modulation, the less I think about that though, since the output is generally not as tonal, you wind up adjusting to the output by ear. Hope that makes sense. Thank you for watching.

    Actually you're both right. Multiplying two signals results in the sum and the difference of the two frequencies.
    Good demo by the way!

    I had the understanding that ring modulators combine the sum and difference of the two input frequencies. Are these two different methods of generating ring modulation, and do they sound differently?

    Hi,
    I just wanted to know if the a192-2 (the cheaper midi to cv) also works as the one you have?i mean does it also detects pitch note and gate without nedding patching.(internaly)
