I just gotta say, youre skill as a mechanic, engineer, and driver is all something i look up to. Running the fastest rwd time in a car you basically built from the ground up is amazing, and one of the major builds i look at for the design of my car (which is a bit more public road friendly)
Welcome back. I hope you are doing well. We want to know the full history of the previous Mercedes Benz projects 630SL & 600SEC. What is the new news about these projects. All the best & have a great life. A Mercedes Benz Lover
Great to have this update! Glad to see you overcoming the challenges you faced this season and still be able to set blistering PBs. I would love to see the ASL reach the conclusion of its development, but the new concept seems like a big step forward
Just the other day I was thinking about the fact we didn’t get to see you in a long time, glade you’re doing well and the business is taking off, can’t wait for more videos !!
Wow, this is great, for me this is one of the best channels on the Tube, I was in the race car business myself for 40 years and like you found that if something can go wrong it will go wrong, the answer is to keep at it and find what components give you reliability and then be completely thorough in your cars assembly that you strictly only use tried, tested and trusted components that have been proven good in the assembly of the car, then all will come right, the main thing is not to give up but keep trying and you will get there. Thank you for taking the time and trouble to produce these videos. 'Sausage' HTR Ltd
Great to see a new video. Been following since way back in the honda tube cart days, you've made amazing progress, truly an inspiration to engineers everywhere.
So good to see your updates! It's really mind blowing to watch all the issues you have with building your own race car and then sorting them out with whatever components you deem fit! You're an amazing engineer, always finding solutions. I love your content man.
Woohoo he's back. I was getting worried there. Congratulations on the new property and happy you are back. Looks like big things are coming for your channel. Cant wait!
So glad to see you back, have been wondering what happend to you. Looking forward to an update on the other projects, just dont keep us waiting so long.
ive been checking here and on instagram for several months looking for updates on the development of this car, i was even hoping nothing happened to you because all your socials went so silent, glad to have you back, i love the content.
That piston breakage/failure may well have been caused by your piston ring gaps. The momentary extra peak of boost and lean condition causing excess heat build up causing your the gaps to collide. May be a good idea to increase them a tiny bit more depending what your currently using now on the first and second ring to give you a better safety margin. Factory gaps from top of my head on the M113K are 0.4mm which isn’t a lot, I’d be inclined to run around double than that.
Have you looked at investing in an AiM dash? You will be able to data log lap times, driver inputs, and engine and drivetrain values such as temperatures and pressures. This can help warm you of issues on track before the engine gets seriously damaged. AiM has become the standard in the racing world and almost necessary on all serious race cars
Also i love the build but if you haven’t fine tuned your spring rates and damper settings you would probably benefit a lot from it. A lot of the cars you’re running against should theoretically be slower than you given that you make similar power and weight less and on the same tires with similar width
That rear wing actuation mechanism looks about 100 times better then F1's mandatory contraption! Front wing is floppy as hell though and I'm a bitt surprised you still only get 2g at those downforce levels in the dry. How much do people get there without downforce? Slicks usually manage 1.9g on their own.
Always enjoyed hearing the E55 exhaust note, but was thinking of the ASL should be mid-engine....and Shehryar comes out with the XF2, can't way to see it, maybe my own dream of an E55 mid-engine can still come true.
did you take inspiration for the 3 element wing from Mike Patey’s wing design for his plane because the actuation mechanism looks similar, if not it might be interesting to check it out to implement into your design😂
So the new build is running a standard trans mated to a rear end? What are the trade-offs with running the wheelbase so long? How does the thrust work against the center of pressure. I know there are long tail racers, but usually the transmission is Mendeola/Porsche (iirc) and has the integrated differential up near the bellhousing so the wheelbase is shorter. You build I'll watch! Excellent update.
The damage on the piston look realy like "glow ignition" problem, there will be no knocking in the engine, and even individual EGT sensor won't help much because of how pin point heat build-up realy is, and comparatively long time constant of EGT sensor isn't helping either. Good to see new video and the news about future plans looks realy promising for future! Will keep fingers crossed Shehryar!
Great to see the car is getting even better. Really surprised you're allowed to race without gloves! Even had to do this for the grass kart class I was competing in around NZ. I'd certainly want to wear some, even if it wasn't mandatory!
I noticed a lot of safety issues in this video. The way the forklift was parked at the beginning was wrong in so many ways (I'd be fired from my job if I did anything remotely close to that), the fact that he was spinning the tires in the air on the lift (big no no), and, of course, not wearing gloves on the track.
Nice work! Will the new shop have 3-phase supplied by the power company or will you have to run a phase convertor or 3-phase generator? Lots of obstacles, good luck!
Why do you keep those injectors ? 80 % duty cycle on injectors at full power is what you should have. You need to have safety nets all around : 95 % duty cycle is also why you burnt the injector driver.... You have one o² sensor indicating leaner than the other.(i guess you have a leaner bank ?) The melted piston is not as tanned as the others,it's clearly running leaner, being at the end of the block do not help for cooling also.
Amazing to see you put out new content! Can’t wait for updates! Would love to hear new updates on all your projects (engine swaps)

You'll never die wondering. Nothing better than seeing a talented person challenging themselves. Legendary work and video
Good to see you guys again!!! Thanks for the update!!!

Same. I was culling some channels I never watch and wondering why I hadn't seen anything for a while from others.

Glad that you are back. Congratulations on your amazing results up against engineering legends like McLaren!
Seeing you cruising through the track made me live my childhood dream vicariously.
very happy for you the business has been growing and doing really well, can't wait to see V2 of this mad scientist build
That's a huge improvement over the last time I watch one of your e55 videos. pretty impressive to be beating factory built cars

Maybe, it’s more likely due to scavenging, most likely needs a dry sump oiling system, pistons are starving in the turns
Lost my prenumeration, glad I found your new video.
Nice to see you back :) hope we will get some videos more often
Ayeeee, Glad your back!
Your back. So nice to se you. Welcome back.
Glad to see all the improvments hopfully no more issues
Glad you're back! Don't be a stranger!

new project looks awesome, like an LMP car almost. cant wait 🤙🤙
I just went to ur page 2-3 days ago to see if u uploaded. Now u uploaded 🔥
missed the track videos of the asl and the shop , can't wait for the update video on the new place
nice to see another upload and some e55 content too? AWESOME 👌
Welcome back
I was at your shop, and lights were off

Welcome back 👍
Hopefully cleaning the backyard was part of the contract! So many shipping containers and random trash from the aerial view!
10:57 nice. 😅
:) Yes plz
You teased us got us interested in the car and disappeared keep up the good work brother cars amazing
the mentalness of this whole thing, this guy doesnt quit
so interested on the various project, keep us uptated!
Congrats!

You mean ‘pre iginition’ from hot plug ?
Assuming he has adequate octane and proper spark plugs, this is a tuning issue, ie. detonation
@@twinchargedmr2 I disagree. 95% duty cycle on the injectors, who knows what the cylinder distribution was like. This was bound to happen.
@@RollingRoadEFI yes, tuning error. Thanks for confirming lol
@@twinchargedmr2 Smh. No.
Welcome back ;)
Was wondering what happened to you! Glad you’re staying busy.
Jeez, you’ve been really busy! 👍👌
We missed you 🥳
Well done!
I have waited a long time for this vídeo. I hope everything is well
For your predisposition for innovation, would a passive pre-chamber ignition be a avenue to explore?
Finally back

He's a big boy
Finally! Thank You for this. I saw the SEC on the backround… How is she?
amazing content keep it up! hoping to be in a position to buy a wing from you one day
Sick property!
Glad your back.. is the 560for sale🙏🙏🙏🙏
He's alive!! I thought the R-Class left you stranded in the middle of a forest.
Nice work! Will the new shop have 3-phase supplied by the power company or will you have to run a phase convertor or 3-phase generator? Lots of obstacles, good luck!
Yes, fortunately it was a factory previously so the electrical seems good. A lot of renovation to do though
Nice video cool to see it going fast. Why you race without gloves?
we missed you bro
Wow! You are really pushing yourself. Nice work!
Question: What CAD, cfd and FEM program do you use? I hope it is freeware as my funds are low :S
Awesome new place! ;)
What do you think of the NP boosted coils compared to stock ones? I just bought a set to try out.
Why do you keep those injectors ?

What manufacture / type of coil over are you using? Any info you are willing to share on their spring rates?
no videos usually mean the shop is running well. very nice
good driving man. looks like a fucking blast to drive
