    Hi Brent,
I use a lead free solder, for stained glass and jewelry crafting. It's composed of tin & copper. The brand is Studio Pro and is sold at Hobby Lobby stores. I'm not familiar with solder for plumbing or circuit boards. I'm by no means an expert in the soldering field, but I sure enjoy it and learn something new every time I pick up a soldering iron.

Hi have you ever used bead landing solder? If so do you know what the metals it's comprised of are?

Good video ruined by two very rude ladies trying to get the attention by interrupting and talking over you !!

      @ladypoppercakes 6 років тому +2

They do talk too much and why can't she just list the materials on this board so we know what exactly to get?

I remember shrinky dinks!! Don't solder the shrinky dinks, they will melt.
I don't have any other videos, this one was just a quick segment to showcase local artists, not intended for a teaching video. Try looking on Etsy for a soldering video to purchase. All the best.

These ladies gotta stop interrupting obnoxiously with one another.

No, it's actually good that they are interrupting each other, because they ask about important things that every beginner, like me ( for example) wants to know. It may be annoying for those who have some skills in soldering, but believe me, I'm grateful.

Hi there.I enjoyed watching this, thank you. I make jewellery using anitque bronze coloured bezels, what colour solder should I use?
All videos I see are using silver solder for silver pieces but I don't want a blob of silver on my bronze pieces. Thanks

I use a Weller 100 watt, temperature controlled iron. I purchased it on Etsy at Glass Supplies. etsy.com/shop/glasssupplies

Would a 100 watt solder be fine to use lead free solder?

The solder only comes in silver. You can add a patina over the silver solder. I use Novacan black patina for an antique appearance..

WHAT IF YOU DONT LIKE SILVER???? what wire do I use for gold?! I'm a gold person, and i'm unsure of what wire or solder to use

I like a variety of metal so what I did is create my jewelry with the silver solder ( I don't believe it comes in any other patina) and then I use gold, silver or copper gilding or gold leaf flakes or sheets to coat each piece after soldering. You can find those items at Hobby lobby or Michaels. Hope that helps.

I dont understand why this middle woman cannot shut up! Just let the teacher show what she's doing. If she has an intelligent question than ask it! Spare us the giggling and endless babble!

What type of solder are you using? For instance are you using a special kind for jewelry, or what is used on circuit boards, or even that which plumbers use when soldering copper pipe?

Where do you get the thinner flat glass tiles to make the "floating" design without a backing? All I can find are tiles 4 mil thick. Where do you get the thinner ones to sandwich your design???

I am always astonished when professional outlets, like tv stations, don't take the time to spell-check. Unless there are other lesser-used acceptable spellings (and I doubt it) soldering is spelled without a "u".

Geez, get rid of that cameraman! He cannot hot the camera still, and skips over some of the important steps to show the finished product waaay too long. Yes, the hosts need to shut up and let the artist talk.

that lady with the peach vest on is making me not want to try this. She is so negative. she thinks she is being cute by telling how it was so hard for her, but she is just discouraging.

Totally agree with the comments, you ladies bring an excellent teacher, and don't focus on her work, you keep interrupting, and the camera goes to other finished pieces, while she is trying to show us what to do! I will never subscribe to your channel! Sorry, not sorry!
