Doors are forced shut, elevators are inoperable, and everyone is left in a pitch dark state, left to slowly die because since the facility is underground, no oxygen is being circulated, so everything gradually dies underground, sorta like the LCZ Decontamination but way more slower, and painful.
I know I'm a bit late: But that's actually such a great concept! Some servers have it so that after 10 minutes, the nuke goes off. Instead, your concept could happen instead of the nuke. A bit more variety never hurts.

This would make for a good custom game mode, no help from C.A.S.S.I.E, don't know when SCPs die, the light containment zone timer is gone, you don't know the warhead timer, when over charge is, etc.

This could be an insanely interesting server event. For example here is the idea in my head. This event happens secretly. There isn't an announcement of an event on the round it's just weird things start happening. 1. The first team to notice something wrong is the SCP team. Scp 079 has immediate access to their 5. However, he has to manually free every scp from its containment chamber. 079 is a moderator who knows what's going to happen and can even be in character. 2. Light containment doesn't decontaminate Cassie just repeats "Light containment overall decontamination in 15 minutes". Every 5 minutes that pass. 3. Once mtf spawns a moderator goes to the intercom and says. "The nine-tailed fox is experiencing multiple electrical anomalous failures. It's recommended that all non-essential personnel evacuate immediately while the situation is under control." You could even have the lights flicker off sometimes to only return moments later. 4. Chaos doesn't spawn at all. Escaped d class are put into the tower as mtf, given items, and told to wait. Maybe even hints as to whats to come. 5. The round progresses to the point where the mtf eventually gets the generators on and triggers the overcharge. 6. Instead ( 0:04 )and all the doors seal themselves. Except doors that cant be exploded. For people trapped in light containment Cassie last act is to open the doors and simply repeat in a glitched tone" Evacuate immediately". (106 is disabled due to being broken) (light containment decontaminates in 30 seconds. 7. All remaining spectators and people who died in light containment are spawned in as "the moll rats" or any other enclosed space-related mtf. They are equipped with explosives to open doors escaped d class become captains and have jailbirds, balls, and insurgency cards, basically anything they want. (they waited a long time). 8. The remaining scps have the full power of facility 079 is the only one able to open doors but the mtf has the advantage of strength. Casse never announces anything until the 079 room is reached where the overcharge works. (Maybe hinted at by another announcement) or the nuke is turned on and the doors all open. The idea of taking away the only advantage humans have over the scraps, the facility itself and open areas, is an interesting one. You would need an open player base willing to participate in a slower round. However, I feel the world-building would be worth it. Having 079 kill Cassie and assume full control over the facility's infrastructure would be extremely memorable for players as well as being unique and memorable. Most secret lab players dont communicate very much during a round using intercom and radios. You might have to spawn in an extra scp if all die after the overcharge happens.

When Cassie dies it would shut off all exits and turn off the lights, anyone in the facility slowly suffocates due to being underground with no ventilation. Don't you love when your only exit is an elevator, one of the worst options during a disaster?
