Got 2 rados , the green captain cook and the rado original diver. Both are beautifully made. I don't think there is a better watch maker at their price point , the materials used are ground breaking, and are miles ahead of their rivals. They do tend to be blingy, and sometimes it's off putting. But once you own one you realise that they are unique and well designed. They deserve a lot more love , then they receive. Honestly their build quality is second to none. Great review Bruce, as always !!!
I was stuck between Rado Captain Cook and Oris Aquis. As it was my first dive, I was able to view Oris in person whereas Rado isn't anywhere around my location....so I went Oris. But the Rado CC High-Tech Ceramic Two Tone is the next one so I have both. I honestly think Rado and Oris are on par with each other, with winner only being determined by personal preference for style. Love both brands!
@@jasondavis3715 I have both watches and if your looking for more beefier watch Oris is perfect if you want that retro style go Rado,or just buy both and be happy.
Agree with you 100%. I was looking at an Oris Aquis or Tudor BB. This Rado eclipses them for me. I like the fact it is so darn hard to scratch them up and the way it showcases the movement. For the price - which is not cheap, still think it is relatively good value. I want to see an all ceramic Aquis next!
It brought joy to my heart when I saw your daughter make a cameo in your video. I'm glad you left that in. My daughter is now 18 and I miss her being that age. The years have gone by too fast. Also, I like the Rado watch. The blue bezel and greyish/plasma bracelet looks good. I didn't think I would like the look and started not to click on video but I am pleasantly surprised and glad I did.
Thanks for this review. I'm glad that you said the black dial covers up the insides in some lights. sad because that's the point of the skeleton styling...
Growing up in the beautiful caribbean islands 🏝 my late father owned a Rado & when i was young i didn't like it But now as an adult i'm one if Rado Biggest supports & i'm gonna purchase a Diastar ⌚
If you ever look on eBay for a DiaStar, it’s insane the amount they are selling from India and they’re down to like 150 bucks each, for that price I would swear they were counterfeit, but who knows
Purchased this watch a week ago, online listings are not comparable to what it looks like in person. The movement is very visible, I was worried you would see it well enough, but I’ve gotten compliments since I’ve purchased it. For its price point, there are few other watches I think compete
This is so cool. I’m not a dive watch sorta guy and actually considered saving to purchase it...until you stated the size. Nice to admire from afar though. Nice intro and shots.
would it be prone to shattering? Absolutely not.. If you chip or crack this thing, the watch will be the least of your problems. You'll be needing serious body work on yourself
I really like Rado and I owned one as well in the past (Hyperchrome Chronograph). But I don't get the 'trend' of open dials nowadays - especially on the 'lower end' pieces that only carry a base ETA / Sellita... like Christopher Ward (which I also love btw.). I think it just looks plane and boring. Maybe I'm too long in that hobby but I really don't get the appeal of this style... nevertheless, thanks for showing Bruce!
I never got into that blue trident that seemed to be the rage a few months ago. This one I don't mind but its always nicer seeing something less traditional
I checked out the Diastars a couple of months ago, really beautiful but some thing I wanted to know is about the rotating anchor, does it indicate the position of the rotor that winds the watch? Or is it just free-spinning on its own? But my cousin said the Diastar looks like a toilet seat bezel 😂
Having recently chipped a brand new ceramic knife even before its first use I have to ask how chip resistant is this watch? Scratches on a watch are not welcome but a chip in a watch case would be much worse I think.
Highest tech materials by Rado. Highest tech movement by Seiko Spring Drive. Best investment by Rolex. There you go and make your decision. I find the blue Captain Cook very tempting. It is like a skimpily dressed dancer, sexy. Is it the sexiest watch in the market? I think so.
No way ! Weight on a ceramic bracelet 157g ! Same as on stainless steel. On titanium it would weigh around 110g. Ceramics should be comparable. Something is wrong with this weight and this watch. For comparison, Certina DS Action 43mm titanium !
Great vid and overview, but dude cut the video if your daughter needs attention. This YT vid won’t matter squat in a decade once you realize how fast kids grow up. You’ll miss these times. Make’em count.
@@karamelahi2808 she walked into the camera shot for a brief second. From that, you came up with this ridiculous theory? First, there’s something wrong with you. Second, that’s not how you parent.
Hey, not my problem addressing your heart of stone outlook on kids. Was making an observation for the YT host as a parent with grown up kids. Anyways, calm down. There are plenty of other YT’ers you can go white knight to your heart’s content.

Gorgeous ...THE best iteration of the Captain Cook in my humble opinion...LOVE it! 😘
Yes, That's why I bought it and I'm glad that I have waited so many years to buy a Rado watch😊
Really liked the intro! Also, I appreciate it a lot, when you showcase something a little out of the beaten path. Thanks Bruce!

Yeah...i think he just called her to come around....and she's been like ,,What the heck daddy?Dont call me if you talking to your watches!!👍😀
An excellent review. Thank you. I have now put this on my short list for 10 year wedding anniversary.
Very nice review. you really covered everything. I bought a Rade in 1998 and is has as of yet not a single scratch.
Great presentation. Very well organized. Thanks 9:02
Thanks for this review. I'm glad that you said the black dial covers up the insides in some lights. sad because that's the point of the skeleton styling...
Awesome watch...I bought the black one with the Rose Gold stem and outer ring
Love the new look! I own the black Captain Cook and a ceramic Diastar. Both look and feel great on wrist
Bruce you are killing it man, always enjoy your videos
Beautiful watch
Great video enjoyed the effort in the edit and the cameo of your daughter was truly bespoke !
What a lovely watch.Another super video,Bruce.
Great watch. Had mine for 2 weeks. Love it!

Bruce the videos quality and editing is on point! Killing it man. As always thanks for sharing
Very kind of you to say, thank you!
Wow this watch is 🔥. Ugh Bruce! What have you done!
Nice video - brilliantly shot. Love this version of the CC but man I wish it came at a 41mm diameter.
Since it's ceramic - can it chip and shatter?
Yes it can chip, but it is extremely hard
Yes, it is possible but very improbable
The Rado Captain Cook is the grail watch in India.

Wow, beautiful watch! And I loved the little Williams cameo ❤️
She loves to be my buddy while I am filming and editing
Very nice looking watch....would like to see a 40mm version.
Really cool. Awesome. Thanks.
Bought this watch yesterday in Abu Dhabi it is very light compared to my steel sport divers
Me too, I don't even feel it on my wrist.
Vers beautiful and amazing watch ! But too bad they didn’t put any lume pip on the triangle of the bezel !
what is the difference between plasma ceramic and high tech ceramic?
Excellent video as always. How many links do you remove? I also have a 7.25" wrist.
Great video, I chose the CC Bronze over this just because of the way it looks!
This is so cool. I’m not a dive watch sorta guy and actually considered saving to purchase it...until you stated the size. Nice to admire from afar though. Nice intro and shots.
Its a large watch. I do prefer the smaller stainless steel variation myself
how hard is this ceramic ? when watch will drop out it is all over ? what is the price to solve problem like this ?
Love to see a review on the titoni seascoper 600m. Thanks!
Amazing watch.
Are the shiny center links also ceramic?
Yes
That's a handsome piece indeed!! Intrigued by the ceramic - would it be prone to shattering?
Cheers Mate 👍🏻👍🏻

@@thorn3686 cool, thanks for your reply 👍🏻
Really great looking watch but the lug-to-lug distance and polished center links give me pause. BTW I loved the Little Williams cameo 😀
Thank you

Fantastic review of a very cool looking watch. Well done as always Bruce.
Appreciate that Blueshirt
Very cool watch!

Its just free spinning. Not tied to the movement rotor. Such a cool little detail
I just got my love it out of allll my watches limit edition grey
SWATCH GROUP drops Basel watch fair, but they do not drop Bruce!!💪😀

never happen
Does it have any micro adjustments on the clasp?
No
A longer and shorter butterfly clasps gonna make watch fanatic w ocd go mad 😄
Nice watch.
How much Is cost
What are the downsides of ceramic? Can they crack on impact?
Yes. If you've ever cracked a sapphire crystal you can chip this piece in a similar way.
Does anyone know what grade of titanium they use on the bracelet?
That bezel almost purrs....meeoow
Are there any quick adjust holes on the clasp?
No it is a fixed position clasp
Love the size and the look. Surprising that they didn't at least have a lume pip on the beautiful bezel insert.

Аbout bracelet . 21-3 = 18. But you said 19 . So, where to find truth?
lol math is hard. 18mm at the clasp
aaaaah Tudor money for a Rado! Why not
There’s unfortunately not exactly a Rado AD on every other street corner in the US.
Nice video, man! I'm really loving their green steel version... Somebody said Vintage??
You are my vintage guy!
Interesting
Pleasw make a drop test!
Beautiful watch, however, between the lug to lug length, the thickness, and the 21mm lug width, it's a no buy.
Its fine on the rubber, but the bracelet definitely takes it out of many peoples options
Although its 21mm a 20mm leather strap fits snugly , no gaps.

Too bad there’s no date.
So its like Omega tested the material with Grey side of the Moon first, then Rado started using it
Very nice technology but a few design inconsistencies. Those end links are ugly.
yuck!!!! give me the regular captain cook!!
904L Only for me

Well, the kid is definitely feeling the lack of attention from Dad lol

It's not a Rolex so it's considered inferior!
